Love that he did this for inmates.
Flexing his freedom
@@newt2120 that's what you got out of it? Lol
@@yaboysix some people can’t see the good in anything and it’s sad
@@Ellianahaspoken_ you right, mama.
He had a captive audience...
Mad respect for not only doing a show for the homies but doing material that was relevant. BTW, in LA County they called it 'Nuts to Butts' albeit no more comfortable. 😂
That's the one lol I can hear them now "Nuts to butts ladies"
San Bernardino county to bruh.
Same in the military
What is the purpose of that?
Yep
I don't know how this guy has stories of prison that equally make me laugh and also convince me to never go
You say that like you were planning a vacation there or something
@@PossiblyAlena 🙄
Lmaooo you needed convincing?
Siddiq was born in Houston. After his parents' separation, Siddiq and his siblings were raised by their single mother, living for a time in the projects. He and his siblings also went on to live with other family members. Siddiq started selling drugs around the age of 14 and was imprisoned at the age of 19 for trafficking in cocaine. He served 6 years of a 15 year sentence in the Ruben M. Torres Unit in Hondo, Texas. source: wikipedia
Right? I stay away from crimes man, I enjoy freedom
This is really one of my #1 pet peeves. HATE it when people don’t know personal space, EVEN after the past 2 years of learning to be socially distanced 🤦🏾♀️
Yup!!!!
SAME!
ppppfffft. I work in a deli the public still ignores basic personal space 80% of the time. the difference between 2019 and now is those jackholes pretend it's some fucking moral/political standpoint. instead of what it really is, rude ass disrespectful bullshit.
In NYC, lines are back to normal. I miss my 6 feet social distancing. Where's my ten foot pole?
Right thank u they learned nothing .
I was complaining in dunkin donuts other day about this..
I want my space
Yall do realize he is communicating In a Language his audience completely understand... I bet they were thoroughly entertained
Obviously
I was thoroughly entertained. I mean, in a heartbroken way, but entertained nonetheless.
@Steve Oakes you mean English
Huh??? He's talking english dude. I never been to prison or jail and I understand everything. In fact, I felt he was talking as if he was talking to people in the free world. You don't need to talk to prisoners about the difference between prison and jail.
Speaking from someone that has been incarcerated & been thru that situation, that is the Language I'm talking .. 😆 🤣 but I see your 3rd eye 👁 needs a Contact Lense ... Language can be body Language or basic Prison Talk , buy anyway 🤔 I enjoyed it
The skit was funny! The reality of prisons are not.
Thank you for bringing light to the prison life in a humerous way. Funny and educational! 💯💯
We did the same thing in boot camp... crazy the similarities between prison and the military
Supposed to teach discipline.
The military has not evolved past when it was used as a form of control and/or punishment. The similarities are no surprise. They both need an overhaul.
Yes, it was to "break us down, to build us back up"... Subtle but memorable
I’ve always seen the military and prison being very similar concepts. Fundamentally I believe the biggest reason they are the same is because it’s a bunch of dudes living together with no woman.
@@kbonics25 school as well.
THIS right here, this is what you call REMEMBERING WHERE YOU CAME FROM and SHOWING LOVE TO THOSE LESS FORTUNATE THAN YOURSELF!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
This man never forgot how much it sucked being in there and how much it means for them to have somebody be kind and show them some love and make them laugh.
God Bless Him. ♥️♥️
Speaking from 3yrs experience, it really does mean a lot. His comedy is a breath of fresh air to me.
Lies again? Phone Stalker Jail Prison
He needs a Netflix special!
He has one on Netflix.
I have never been to prison. However, I feel exactly as he does. I actually have said"' you need to get off my back". I don't understand why people do that.
I'm guessing it's a learned response to people cutting in line.
Some people will go to jail intentionally because 4 whatever reason they are not connecting 2 any loved 1s
There isn't any explanation for this behavior on the part of the prison guards except to humiliate the prisoners. It isn't okay.
You lose your autonomy and self respect in prison. It's supposed to serve as a deterrent to crime. Which would be all great if they showed videos of this kind of humiliation to young first time offenders before they end up in prison.
I'm fine with dehumanizing criminals. That's the payment for their crimes. But if it is meant as deterrent, then it should be clear to civil society that crime equals this. Prison culture is brushed under the rug because they don't want us to know. So they can keep feeding the prison industry.
@@MRony yea its an incredibly toxic culture that does not have to be. American likes to treat it's citizens like babies at best and idiots at worse
Prison system is a money making business
@@MRony you’re FINE with dehumanizing criminals? Living people with their own struggles who are maybe behind bars for having to resort to crime after being down on their luck or maybe even incarcerated for a crime they didn’t commit? Don’t you think instead of dehumanizing them as a deterrent to crime we should address the issues that lead them and others like them to get into crime so that it never happens in the first place? Hell the guy in this video went to prison for selling drugs when he was 19.
@@aegeon5650 not a zero sum game. The job of the judicial system is to make those determinations. But once in prison, you lose autonomy and respect for the individual. We definitely have to tackle the social issues that lead to crime. But at the end of the day, criminals make the choice to commit crimes, and then have to pay the price.
Like this gentleman said, there is a difference between jail and prison. And there are actually a few in between. There are detention centers, rehabilitation centers, correction centers. Etc.
Bro ive been dying for more ali siddiq comedy! Glad to see a new clip!!
If this new 2u it's part of a special think was a ½hour?
This is years and years old.
@@wakenow7612 yeah i know i just wanted to see a "new" clip lol
@@rockynason6500 yeahh i think its from its bigger than these bars
It’s so sad how people are treated in prison. Yes, they must pay their debt to society but this treatment just makes them even more unhinged and dangerous than they might have been before.
Nothing wrong with the scenarios he described. It was the same as boot camp, heel to toe (aka nut to butt) is how we lined up.
It definitely doesn't bring out the friendliness in them, you're right about that.
@@iwearshoes1 yea. There is something wrong. It’s dehumanizing.
Having been through some of that myself, it was where my thoughts went too. It's like there is an unspoken directive in the US prison system to do so much more harm than just take away your time and freedom for whatever your term is. No, the experience must also be full of soul crushing, dehumanizing, demoralizing treatment that it's hard to come out of it and still be a human being on the other side. Yet someone that's never been that close to that world would think they deserved it for what crime they were accused of. All I can say is you don't know what you're talking about.
@@iwearshoes1 What purpose does it serve?
Ali Saddiq is one of my favorites, his technique & delivery style is just amazing
this what they need in prisons and jails… and salute him for doing the show
For what?
He’s currently my favorite. So glad I found him a few nights ago.
Watch his latest standup on here. It’s called Domino effect or something like that
This is real rehabilitation right here, for one he actually funny asf! Specifically, he is telling jokes that are perfectly related to their situation and his so that they can not only relate but so that we can all contemplate the different aspects of society in which we live .. he and others like him are social psychologists
Man when I tell you I'm the same way about being in line in the store. I've been like that since a child. I'll NEVER understand why people feel the need to be almost on you when standing in line. I promise you I start swinging around, kicking my feet, farting and everything if I have to tell you about that. If you're one of those people who doesn't know how to give people space stop being weird and start being respectful. You do not need to move everytime someone moves if the line isn't moving. And even when it is, keep your space.
farting! 😆
Even during and after the pandemic 😷
@@edp3202 By any means lol.
@@rashidblack6445 Regardless of its mandated or not. 😷
I'll never put myself through that treatment again.
3:42 Heel-to-toe is a way to psychologically break you, and make you feel less than. This way, the prisoners can be easily controlled.💯
I wonder how did this come to be.
@@Arizona9001 It comes from ameriKKKa: the countries with most human beings in prison than all the reste of the humanity combined...
@@saninkontron925 i meant scientifically how did they figure to use this method. Not where it came from.
@@Arizona9001 armed forces use tactics like these on prisoner's of war. It's a type of buck-breaking. All rooted in psychology.
@@9keykey I’m not asking where or who used this. I’m asking how did they figure out that this is a efficient method.
“Heel to Toe” in LA county jail the guards say “Nuts to Butts”…yea, it’s just as weird as it sounds.
Ewww lol
Ima just take the beating. I’m not doin that. I’d rather you fracture my orbital.
@@MyMyManMelo_ still have to do it after the beating tho
They say it in the army too.
I feel the SAME WAY about people in lines!!! I put a cart in between me and the person behind me, get to coughing like a maniac, swinging my purse wild like I'm trying to put it on my back but it ain't even a backpack...I've never been to prison or jail, never had anyone do anything to me. Imagine how I'd be if I had...
No pressure making this crowd laugh.
Respect to him for doing this for inmates
This is super cool. I guarantee he made everybody’s week doing this inside
I love that he did this and him serving time helps him relate to them

Who healed their victims?
@@dahe8883 oh you know what they did? Enlighten us
I been home 11 years I still do the bathroom thing too 🤣🤣🤣
I've been out for about 25 years and I still do it in my big new house.. A little tip for anyone constantly harassed by the law. Move away. I left the USA for Europe 25 years ago. I have not been stopped, searched, or harassed in 25 years. Even though you have the Constitution, they violate it daily. Your Freedom is an illusion.
If you have thin walls in your home you'll do it too!
Mexican got on boots!
That was the goat😂😂😂
Ali Siddiq is a BAMF! I admire what he does for all the people who got locked up.
He's right, though. Aside from social media and the internet, this era of human history is defined by the overwhelming surge of disrespect in society.
The treatment of inmates is less "disrespect" and more "you're not at all human", and it's proven to be a cause of violence in prisons and recidivism once released.
If you don't treat inmates as humans and in socially acceptable ways, they won't behave as humans and in socially acceptable ways.
There's no disrespect on social media?
@@sowhat... no
@@MrMartinSchou exactly where the whole enslaving someone’s mind comes from, which was John Lynches whole theory, all facts fam smh

One of the biggest differences between jail and prison... In prison you get to actually choose which books you want to read, and they are usually in good shape. I was once reading a book in jail and I was really getting into it only to find that it was missing page 11 through 79 LOL
I got to meet him back in February 2020 at one of his shows when he came to philly, before covid shut down everPhilly. Really cool dude
Thank you for giving the inmates a show 🙏🏾 not many would and you’ll be rewarded for it 🙏🏾💯
I've never been to prison, but hate people standing too close behind me.
I'll back them up, and not give a damn what they think.
We can show mutual respect in this situation.
Amazing video 👏🏼!
Thank you for giving back!
this man is so underrated it's insane!
The sad thing is that you would think the line part would stop during the pandemic. They still be too close!! Back 👏🏾 Up 👏🏾 Off 👏🏾 Me!!! 👏🏾👏🏾😂😂
Yes!!!!!! How did Covid not scare you up off my ass?! 🤣😤🤌🏾🤦🏾♀️
Always like seeing more Ali!
So sad to hear about the inhumane treatment of prisoners. You have to rehabilitate them not drive them further down the well.
The prison system is modern day slavery. That's where a lot of these practices come from. It's also the reason black people are convicted at higher rates. The point is to dehumanize you and break you down mentally so that you're easier to control.
Prison is legal slavery. They are property of the state unfortunately
that's what momma and dada surpose to do...not the government, unless you like the government all in your face.
@@carlitosortiz2870 The government also was supposed to abolish slavery, but instead they gave it a new name: prison.
I'm so happy to see and hear my brothers who I have missed for so many decades.
"Disrescpect is the number one thing they do in society", So true.
Disrespect is the #1 thing they do out in society. I've been telling ppl this and that's because society as a whole is no longer violent.
one of my friends is friends with Ali, anyway he's a super chill and nice guy.
I love how everything was relevant to the inmates in a way that was easily understood 💜💛
Love Ali! He's such a real person.
Much love &respect for this guy
This is a great piece, thanks Ali for the laughs and insight brother
Great convo my dude.. You really helped them and me too. Big ups😎👌💵
The mic stand as a person is fantastic.
Six feet of room in lines should be mandatory on one’s own recognizance. Why did covid requirements have to tell someone this when they should’ve been doing it already?
THANK. YOU.
Right? And sadly lines are now back to normal. I want my space back!!
Very true. Covid has changed the culture. Not all good, but not all bad.
The average line for a Starbucks would be several blocks long
Your a real one for this.
Giving them guys hope that the free world is possible for them.
Choices and learn from them.
This should be taught in schools to our young men. I remember ONCE in schools we had a speaker that came to assembly. He told a story about a tough young man that got locked up. The things that happened to this young man scared me to death?
This is so true!!! When you’ve been to prison u level of respect for people lol I be saying excuse me to people and they don’t even be paying attention 🤣🤣
Absolutely. Mfers be disrespectful out in society and I gotta keep my cool.
Jah bless ya Ali for this and all them inmates- May you find peace and freedom sooner than later.
