she may gone but he music remains... thanks for everything.
This is such an underplayed underrated song. I love this song.
When you see her face in the sky with the stars I I like to think she is looking down on us from heaven, she was an angel :) Nobody sings like Karen, her voice is so warm and comforting.
Mind blowing arrangement and shows that the real stars are never afraid to cover. Pure velvet voice
I remember this being one of my favorite songs as a kid........brings back memories. Thanks for posting this!
This song is so true. We have never been alone :) so wonderful to know our friends are here.
such a beautiful and relaxing voice
Otimo
I LOVE THIS SONG AND VIDEO!!!!
RIP Tony Peluso, he's the DJ in this video, also the lead guitarist for the Carpenters.
I was 5yrs when this song came out and the memory brings such a peaceful feeling around my body when listening to this playing :)
..i love it!!!
..i love yah Karen!!!always...
Very nice rendition of an amazing Klaatu arrangement! Some say The Beatles underground music
The memory just perfect!
We love you always and forever KC!
Great Music

lol this song is so randum thankes romyy!!
lol its stuck in my head ::P
Karen Carpenter is a singer beyond her years , OMG how saqd to lose such a wonderful voice ???????????? Grrrrrrrrrrrrr
please close your eyes and concentrate ...
wonderful
Nice song
Nice bass line!
this is a nice video w/ orchestra back-up, but a better video of carpenters doing it is at "calling occupants of enterprise"--an extremely well done piece someone did including original video footage w/ r and k.
My Baby girl have your name for she, thank you for to be here , my wife are with you in the heaven , God bendice forever!!!
untouchable.
Right at the 4 minute mark is Tony Peluso's great guitar!
Gene Roddenberry wrote this for the theme song of the Original Star Trek series, but ABC strongly objected.
Miss you luv ya still Karen
@wayneleon1000 To be fair, she didn't write it, it's just a cover of a song by Klaatu. If you like conspiracies - they were a secret reformation of the Beatles.
And yes, she has a very beautiful voice.
@uselessjoe I have been corrected. This is a great song.
boy can this lass sing
Calling OccuPants of interplanetary Crap
There's plenty of music by the band Klaatu on CZcams. Or Google them. Or that Wiki thing.
Richard is dressed like he is the substitute host for "The Gong Show". An offbeat song for the Carpenters.
shes gone but hre sons alive
Died to young, but who is Major Tom?
It reminds me of my teacher?
This is a beautiful video. I have to believe that if aliens had 'observed' Karen, they would have told their home planet that we don't require food. That gives us an advantage if they try to take us over. Way to take one for the team, Karen.
Actually, she was pretty OK in 1970. In 1973, she started gaining weight, and this bothered her (especially since had been somewhat overweight in her younger years). She resolved to "do something about it," and 1975 was when she was first showing signs of anorexia nervosa.
DAVE SAYS U KNOB
@UncleKennybobs In what way? You've not made yourself very clear i'm afraid.
My Karen
I could do without the guy doing bad radio at the beginning, anyway great song!
Did Richard write this song??
Babe
hey now, without "the guy", you wouldn't have the great guitar solo at the end!!!
It was all about fabulous music then and great voices! now you have crap music and not very nice images of your so called artists of today...
Calling all food. I would like to make contact with you.
She looks like she's becoming anorexic in this video, does anyone know when this was taken and whether or not she was ok at this point?
It's the only song from them I can't stand. I've tried, but the conclusion I always come to is they like weed.
+Claudia Walker Nothing wrong with weed, its only people that make weed out to be a bad thing
