- today, I am going to finish up the attaching of my “new” 101 McCormick Side Dresser for my 1973 International Harvester (IH) 140. I think I’ve got the bugs worked out of it and it seems to be working .
This is one of many farm videos I have created and I do try to make one each better than the last. please comment and let me know your thoughts. thank you for watching and please consider subscribing to my channel

Thank You
That's going to be awesome ! You're lucky to have this setup Thanks for sharing !
Can’t wait to try it, but we got more snow. Haha. Summer will be here before we know it. Thank You for watching
Excellent job Tom. That's exactly how it goes on.
Thank You. I can’t wait to actually use it. The idler on the final drive wasn’t set right. Once I adjusted that, the original chain fit right on nice and snug
@@LedgemereHeritageFarm I think it swings forward and down and rides on top of the top chain. Also, That spring that holds the idler cog down behind the hopper looks long to me. Seems like mine is much shorter. Unfortunately I'm not at home and won't be until the morning.
@@MarkWYoung-ky4uc I was wondering why it was so sloppy because that spring doesn’t do much good as it is.
@@LedgemereHeritageFarm It should hold it snug on the chain.
You know Tom, even without the implements, just the sounds of those old tractors running…is enough for me! But I get a great deal of satisfaction with the lessons I get from you!!
Thank You. Got a kioti I can try out? 😀
Hey buddy . I bought a 130 it has the set up for the hopper and the one that goes to the back wheel . I took the sprocket off the wheel from my 140 and put it on the 130 . Then I need the chain to go to the wheel sprocket . So I’ve put that on . But that chain turns but the hopper chain still don’t turn . So then I saw the cotter pin was missing on the left side sitting in the seat . Mine has two holes . I put it in the out side hole but it still ain’t engaging. So I’m gonna try the second hole and hope it works. If you can think of anything else that might be the reason why it’s not turning let me know . Thanks
did you move the right hand rock shaft? that's what engaged the drive unit to the fertilizer drive. Hope that helps!
Hey there it been awhile what is your cub hp rated thanks
Old ones before 1956 were about 8.5 and my 78 has 15.
