Why don't they just put the measurement numbers on the rims?
Right! Some wheels do tho. Its on the inside of wheel arms/spokes

Please make a similar measuring video, but for a car wheelwell, front as well as back, how can we get the idea of fitment from the car.
Hi, can you do a segment on color/finish differences? ie. hyper silver vs machined silver, hyper black vs black chrome, polished vs chrome, etc. I know I can google it but sometimes it's difficult to tell by photos because of different lighting.

Makes me feel a lot better because I ordered a set of 22 x 9” wheels for my car and I thought they were 22x10 which would’ve made my tire and inch taller and possibly rub inside the fender well so I believe I actually went to the exact same size that I have now which is awesome
I'm looking at the ESR SR08 wheels for a 2015 scion tc and idk what is the best fitment. Also I don't want to run to much camber cause I'm going to modify it to go faster

Oh my god I’ve never heard of back spacing! Thanks that’s my constant problem with wheels. Offset correct with 30mm spacer but still ends up rubbing my coil overs.

both my track cars are only 300hp so 275 r compound tires are more than enough grip for me!

How do we call width(space) between mounting hub surface and fender?
some online wheels usually give measurement of wheels like (for example) 15x8jj where 15 is the diameter but i usually confuse the the '8jj' is for what..? is it for 8 inch width or 8 inch backspacing?

guys there is also the overall diameter of the wheel
tire and rim COMBINED that changes sometimes significant

I purchased 4 new tires at peerless for my 2006 mustang that had 245/45 /17 and they put on 245/40/18 why would they have done that, and is it safe I have a 5 lug nut pattern and they were one way tires before, thanks for any help

Homie I have a question, I want to buy my first rims but I’m having issues with my rear wheels because I read the size and it says 19x10J but the ones that I’m trying to buy it said 19x10.5J so I’m not sure if that a huge difference or it’s basically the same 😫 help…
It's a half inch difference. It depends on what can fit on your car if there will be any issues.
What if I don’t want to change anything I want to find a wheel size the same as the manufactured size that it came with.

you measure width to the inside of the bead lip, but backspacing to the outside of the lip. Is that right?

I was I watched this a couple of hours ago. I drive a two hour drive to pick up a set of 19” alloys only to get them home and see they was pretty much the same size as what I already have on the car. I got scammed as they are actually 18” alloys and now have to sell these to get the size I wanted 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️

Hey how to measure eccentricity
Different people measure offset differently and get different results, pretty frustrating.
How you measure offset i done this to a wheel which is stamped with a offset of 15 and after measuring your way i get 22.
After watching another video i found how to get the 15.
Instead of from hub mount inside to edge i measured hub mount from inside then brought it to the face of the wheel
The Germans were Smart Enough to Stamp the Size into the Wheels in Multiple locations a Long Time Ago and they Still Do!
If you get 19.5” diameter wouldn’t it actually be a 18.5” wheel?

I blew a tire and bent my Steele plate rims on the military base.
(the base messes up your vehicle every chance it gets 😆).
I could have bent the rim back, but my mechanics said otherwise. I'm at a junkyard yesterday, looking for rims and my mechanic tells me to measure everything (of course).
Fun story I haven't worked on cars in a while, my mechanic gives me a step-by-step to-do list. (All simple things I should know). I'm measuring b/c the staff are lame, and won't help you find simple things. Mind you people thought I was tweaking b/c I kept looking around.
(I've been around the block a few times, ppl get killed in junkyards, I'm not taking any chances). WATCH YOUR BACKB+ YOUR NECK AT ALL COST!
So Boom, I'm measuring the junkyard rims. Then I had to discount my own to figure out my rims, the entire shebang. Bet, I do it and I get help from some data on the block. We're all helping each other, initially, I said "No" b/c I had it. My mans comes w/ the old school jack. (I'm super hyped b/c I'm scared of these new Jack's cars come with. Then another guy comes w/his automatic lug staller. Oh, it was glorious. I have my tape measure. We're in business w/o a brick and motor.
Our measurements are off but on at the same time. Then, I wake up to (I'm writing after watching your video). I see why I was off. I measured right but, made a rookie mistake.
Thanks to your video (visual learners) I saw my mistakes. I'll be measuring again.
