What is sad about this merger is the there are people predicting crossover projects between Cartoon Network & Nickelodeon and not worrying about the talent who are working on current and upcoming animated projects that may lose their jobs.
I hope this doesn't happen at all. The last thing we want is another monopoly. Hopefully one of those three other companies will win instead, the three other companies are Skydance Media, Microsoft and RedBird Capital.
Exactly man, if this happens I will take WBD and Paramount to court to file an antitrust violation to break up this monopoly. Roosevelt did that and successfully broke up the oil and railroad industry which had a monopoly. I hope Michael Ouweleen doesn't get fired, because he's making the right decisions like adding more variety to cartoon network and adding a plethora of shows on boomerang over the past year. 2. Cartoon Network and nickelodeon together?? I thought about it in my mind one time because these are my two favorite channels but nah. It feels cursed to have them under the same umbrella. 3. Nick and CN in their own corporate companies merging isn’t very a smart idea because we need to have the product of the shows and movies that they have be in their own lane no matter what deal of a cost they are willing to offer. I know the fact WB discovery really have been struggling by shooting themselves in the foot with bunch of layoffs, tax cuts and media platforms not working so well due to dumb reasons but if you want your program to be successful for your network you need to do smart business instead of just merging from one to another cause it’s not gonna save your business it’ll just be worse in the amount of shares that you have. I would at least have like Amazon, prime video, Hulu or CW network merge with them instead so that it will count of protecting their production of how much money they are making instead of wanting to take risk with another company like paramount even though Viacom and mtv once purchase the rights of looney tunes in 1988 until 1997 with tiny toons.

i think cartoon network has mulled over recently its been not that bad check out the schedule as of the last few days, there IS some variety, not much but yea there is a little bit. Theyve got clarence, we bare bears, regular show and a few other reruns going on. The only current issues at cn are the lack of running programming and the garbage 5pm finish.

i think cartoon network has mulled over recently its been not that bad check out the schedule as of the last few days, there IS some variety, not much but yea there is a little bit. Theyve got clarence, we bare bears, regular show and a few other reruns going on.
The only current issues at cn are the lack of running programming and the garbage 5pm finish.
