I agree. Adult remakes of kid shows are always hit or miss. Sometimes you'll get a gem like Adult Swim's Samurai Jack, or you'll get coal like Ren and Stimpy's Adult Party Cartoon.
No, Velma tried too hard to be virtue signaling and whatnot. Besides that, THE FLINTSTONES wasn't initially a kids show, the same way that Looney Tunes weren't initially intended for children. The former aired in theaters and served well as packaging for television, and the latter was an animated homage to THE HONEYMOONERS. Similarly, WAIT TILL YOUR FATHER GETS HOME, which aired in the 1970s, was an animated homage to ALL IN THE FAMILY, and was also produced by Hanna Barbera. However, this was always intended to be a cartoon for adults. The Flintstones and Looney Tunes, however, have of course gone to children, especially with the availability of profits when it comes to merchandising, etc.

Warner brothers should revisit their animated franchises that aren’t looney tunes, Scooby doo, and Tom and Jerry more often like flinstones, jetsons, yogi bear, huckleberry hound, snagglepuss, and top cat in some other way.

On the other hand, the show should have been released for Adult Swim instead of Fox because Disney owns the rights to Fox since they bought it like 5 years ago while The Flintstones were owned by Hanna Barbera and part of Warner Bros.
The Flintstones was already an adult series. Someone's probably already said that, but it bares repeating. As for the new concept, it actually sounds good, but I'm afraid a modern series would be too vulgar.

Did Seth MacFarlane got involved with this project? Because that was over a decade ago when he was planning to make his own Flintstones tv series.
