In this video, I give you a 6-step system to follow which will guide you into the world of improvisation. It's so easy to get overwhelmed with the amount of information out there, so my goal with this video is to simplify it all and give you a roadmap which you can follow.
We start by learning a chord progression with voicings in the left hand. We then look at various different things such as the minor blues scale, chord tones, modes and a few other things.
We put it all together in a structured format. This video is meant for you to return to and use as a roadmap, rather than follow along in realtime.
This video is also a summary of one of my courses within the PianoPig Academy. So, if you would like to see more on this - have a think about becoming a member!

That opening riff was simple, but the same kind of simple when you start to optimize their details in any art by cutting down the fluff and unnecessary stuff to have exactly what you want to be there, nothing more, nothing less, and it was very smooth!I loved that beat.

Appreciate Video clip! Apologies for chiming in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you thought about - Riddleagan Smart Hands Remedy (search on google)? It is a good exclusive product for learning piano fast minus the normal expense. Ive heard some super things about it and my old buddy Taylor at very last got excellent success with it.

Great stuff! Fingering the blues scale seems fairly open to interpretation. I seem to be gravitating to a variety of different fingerings depending somewhat on whether I am staying within an octave and/or moving up and down across multiple octaves.
Does it really matters as long as you get the sound out of the piano?
If it does matter, perhaps some ideas on what to try to avoid in your fingering.

Is there a follow up to this video on how to have distinct sections like intros, or bridges in an improvisation piece?
Or should one follow the regular chord progression conventions for songwriting and improvise a melody on top for each section?

This has blown my mind. Are you effectively doing a key change with every chord change? Because with your right hand you’re playing notes in different keys with each chord change. Not familiar with blues music but I’ve always thought of improvisation as being in a single key, and all the chords and right hand melody fit in with that single key.
