I believe the lack if lore questions is due to:
1. Not being something Spiff really does
2. There aren't really any lore questions that have irrefutable answers
if i recall correctly, he asked his stream chat to come up with questions for him, which was where most of the quiz questions came from. the questions also had to have answers that spiff knew the answer to, so thats why theres no lore questions
He also was balancing the questions based on the four people in his video so that it would be fair for them.

I love seeing MatPat getting a bunch of the questions right for the wrong reasons.
Especially the pizza sim questions
MatPat and Steph can absolutely use the “incorrect” opposite thing as a teachable moment! Encourage Ollie to ask the teacher questions about answers he gets wrong: he might learn what the correct answer is and why, but he might (or might also) be able to argue for the answer he gave. The result ultimately depends on the teacher, but it seems like most of the time I’ve heard about a student justifying their answer, it works out in their favor. Self-advocate! 😊
I was gonna say, after explaining himself, yeah, that can easily be spun multiple ways. If you wanted the opposites to be over and under, then why didn't you start with under? Words have multiple meanings. Also, if this "quiz"? (I don't know if it was a mini quiz or just an assignment or what it was) was multiple choice, then that's even less of an excuse because why would you put multiple answers on there that would make sense? XDD
So yeah, teacher is wrong and not clear enough, Ollie gets +1 to brain for that IQ play XD (also, MatPat being encouraging about it is so wholesome x3)

MatPat, you are not a loser. I love that you questioned Ollie's teacher about that. I think some teachers are so focused on what answer keys say, that they don't stop to consider other possibilities that are equally correct.
So I was thinking about this today. I decided to share it on Facebook (unfortunately it's too long to clip), and it occurred to me that it is only natural that Ollie would say the opposite of over is start...considering that his parents enjoy playing video games...GAME OVER.
30:24 It is funny to me that basically all the people who took this quiz sing the notes from FNAF VR for the Bonny's guitar question. Makes sense, though. Easier to remember that than a visual image.
With both of Ollie's parents being (originally) Game Theorists, I'm not surprised that he'd equate the opposite of Over as Start haha
Yeah, I would've counted that as a suitable answer myself if I were the teacher given the double meaning.
I remember something like that happening to me a few times when I was in school. It never taught me anything, only made me feel like I got cheated or tricked.

Hearing Matpat basically talk about how awesome Ollie is doing is school while doing a quiz made by AstralSpiff is all I needed in my life

Technically, I already have a bunch of lore for my avatar OC/Sona (her name is Krystal and she's a dimension traveler :D), but it would be really funny if I did something based on the id, ego, superego lol
Also, I gotta say between the characters of the OC trio Krystal is from, she's probably more the ego or superego than the id which is kinda ironic. The ID just stands for identification lol
If anyone is literally made and built specifically to do a FNAF test, it's Matpat. No pressure here man, but your entire career is on the line

I mean, I've probably got a bit more in-depth knowledge, honestly, considering I study not only the lore(across like, 10 different theorist channels, and coming to conclusions none of them have reached), but I also study the gameplay, behind-the-scenes of how it works, the scrapped content, some of the fangames, and more, including having all the AR skins memorised, as well as niche specific things about AR as well. And I'm sure I'm not the only FNaF fan that deep in the trenches of FNaF, it's just that nobody's even heard of most of us.
Matpat is just one of the more popular people.

The number of times Matt got the right answer for the wrong reason was incredible. Either he subconsciously knew the answers and his brain made up justifications for those answers, or he lucked into a very high score.
also to note: Spiff tailor made the quiz for each person in the video,so its as equal in difficulty as possible

As someone who has been in charge of my library's county-wide summer book trivia contest for the last few years, AND as a viewer of these channels and someone who's read at least some of the FNAF books... MatPat at 51:06 saying that he wants to do a test based on the books makes me think it's time for me to combine these skills and interests.

Yay I'm so happy we got to see you take this! It was fun watching spiff stream and come up with questions, cause he was trying to balance it, but also pull only from in game stuff, which is why there's not much about story or theories.
Also side note you did only get 90. It is in fact CD+ to skip not ctrlD+ to skip. I only bring this up because your reasoning was like mine and so I thought it was so weird. Still an amazing score so congrats!

For your information, The skip night command IS actually C, D, +. though for fnaf 2 (and future clikcteam games I think) you also had to have your mouse on freddys nose on the poster. so deduct points for that. Otherwise I am in awe how someone who only delves into the lore scored so well on (mostly) gameplay oriented questions.

Correction: CD+ is the correct way to skip a night in fnaf 1, 2 and 3, not what Mat marked, matpat's correct score should be 90

So, about the Vanny ending, that was one of the parts of the game that was fairly consistent (as long as you don't jump over the gate *cough*). In order to trigger that ending you have to win fazer blast, go up the vent and see Vanny's secret room, then go to the exit. Then the Vanny option will be available. That triggers the cutscene and then the chase sequence when you are legitimately running away from Vanny. That part of the game was not broken.
He would've had it right if he didn't conflate the trash land tunnel bit to the fazer blast spiral staircase. He specifically mentioned the spiral staircase and running on the ceiling rafters, but he confused that being part of the escape from the trash basement.

1) As someone who used to be really into FNAF lore, and have since lost interest in favor of the gameplay side (e.g. speedruns), these kinds of crossovers are surreal to see, haha.
2) MatPat acknowledging the many aspects of the FNAF fandom was kinda heartwarming. It really is crazy how one piece of media can unite people in so many ways!
When AstralSpiff released that quiz video my first thought was, _"I want to see Mat try this"_
I noticed that during the final count Ash said that Mat got the "In FNaF 1, what combination of keys can be pressed to skip a night?" He said the said is 'CTRL,D,+' which is wrong. So I decided to go into the quiz myself and input Mat's answers, to see if there was any other discrepancy. After recounting, his actual score is 88 points. 90 if you count the "What is your name?" question.

Hey there Matpat, i, as a non believer from Spiff's channel, would like to inform you that Astralspiff made an amazing theory on Security Breach.
I'm glad to see spigg got his own video on gtlive- he deserves the recognition and audience he has and the growth he has had
The reason everything focuses on 4am in FNaF 4's gameplay is because of the Fun With Plushtrap minigame. Since you can do that minigame easily whenever to get a 2 hour headstart, that makes the halfway point of the night 4am instead of 3am, therefore making the shift happen halfway through the night at your luckiest otherwise doing the minigame means 1 hour of normal gameplay before it shifts at 3 which is almost as odd as it shifting at 5.
So cool to see Matpat taking this quiz, but considering the questions are about gameplay I worry about how his score will turn out (haven't finished the vid yet).
Edit: Pleasantly surprised by how well he did considering it wasn't about his area of expertise, congrats Mat!
