I love watching these old episodes I see the history I didn’t start watching until Shelia switched over. I love Brooke and Eric even now. Eric made it clear to Stephanie even back them he married her only because she was pregnant. Ridge and Eric have always loved Brooke!!! And this Brooke wasn’t obsessed with Ridge I wish the writers kept it that way!!!

BrHooker slept with… father in law, son in law, brother in law and at some time was pregnant to all three and had children with two, slept with both brothers in the same year and also had sex with boyfriend’s to both daughters and almost every man with a pulse… they don’t call her the human mattress for nothing and Eric is in 2022 a really nasty old rutting goat, thankfully he keeps his shirt on during sex… but you’re right these old episodes are fun to watch and it’s great to see Susan Flannery.

Actually she is showing just how weak and desperate she is. She feels she can't be anything without the man who is rejecting her and is willing to take back a cheater who got pregnant his son's ex. She is using her son who she encouraged many times to leave the woman whom now she wants for him only bc she is so insecure that she can't have Eric back on her own, so she has to make Brooke and Ridge happen. For a long time Stephanie made Eric miserable, and that was way before Brooke or even her mom existed in the picture.

I loved Eric and his way of loving Brooke and the tenacity with which he wanted her to enter his life.. John McCook, here, was extraordinarily beautiful and his acting wonderfully natural. I watched Beautiful until Eric's relationship with Sheila began. I couldn't stand seeing him with a woman other than Brooke.
from the moment on that he left Stefanie he went downhill.....with every other woman more and more below his level....at the end he was a laughingstoke....

If I’m correct in recalling this properly, wasn’t it at the time when he was confused about his identity & angry with Ridge/Brooke’s love? I remember at Thorne & Macy’s (second) wedding, CJ teased him about the dynamics of the Forrester family & Brooke was in so much denial that he’d eventually be ok with Ridge being his step father/half brother & uncle…LOL. No wonder why that kid ended up growing up to be an arrogant little fart. He never had a proper role model

My memory isn’t as good as it used to be but I do remember the fight Rick and CJ had at the wedding and then Stephanie going off at Brooke because after all of that, she wanted to take the kids for ice cream with Ridge like a normal family… LOL…Eric ended up taking him home. Only after Stephanie insisted the poor kid go home with his Dad. By Dad, I mean his actual Dad, Eric lol

Queen Stephanie was pregnant by either Eric or Missimo but she willed it to be Eric's so he gave up his college sweetheart Beth Brooke's mother to do right by Stefanie never realizing Ridge was not his son...so she in trapped him and They had more children ..as time went on they raised their kids with Christian being a daddies girl and Stefanie smothering her son's moreso with affection... Stefanie became so clingy controlling and dominant to the point of becoming jealous of the attention Eric was giving Christian and visa versa possibly because things were becoming cold in the bedroom ..she subconsciously blamed Christian for that ... Eric then became lonely seeking out love elsewhere...She became to harsh over his attraction to Brooke which further turned him off... Stefanie at first wasn't willing to give him a divorce to marry Brooke who had given birth to his son.. Stefanie should have realize that some relationships are for a reason a season or for appeasing... Rarely for a lifetime...

And U must know that Eric had to of had some feelings for Stefanie to have even entertain being with her for all those years... sometimes U grow to love 💕 a person... through all the good times with family...
Stephanie has truly lost her mind, Susan Flannery has portrayed this entire story line so well. On the one hand as a married woman whose husband had an affair, I so desperatly understand her pain and all of the range of emotions she portrays in this character, however, also as a woman who is about as old as Stephanie was in this year (i'm 55, I think shes around 50 ish) and as a woman who has had pretty good success in my career and one child who is 12 , what I do not share is the feeling of her life would be over without a man who has very clearly moved on. Here is where we differ. Stephanie is extremly well off financialy, she has 4 children (one who passed), she has what I would imagine is a very full life of friends/ clubs/ sits on boards here and there, unlike many women who are in fact left very much alone, broke the character Stephanie is none of these things. While I can imagine the initial shock was quite disconcerting...this woman has had 7 months or so to get her head clear and start to live a new life that doesnt include her husband. This is the part of the storyline that angers me, it makes stephanie extremly selfish and self absorbed. If my mother stood there screaming at me that she has "nothing left in her life" and she has 4 adult children who all love and support her, i'd be kinda ticked, to say the very least. I didn't watch this show back in these early days, I know that the story lines really blossom and stephanie and brooke eventually become best friends, but these early years sure do set up the hostility that is between the two women for many many many years to come.
