Also, none of us are PROFESSIONAL musicians. So if you come here for a strict breakdown/analysis of the music, you won’t be getting that. This is strictly my conservatory musician friends taking time in their schedule to watch kpop for fun, and throw in any musical comments that come into their mind! Also please do not complain about any "boring" reactions...some of the musicians have blank faces since they are concentrating so deeply on analyzing the music. On top of that, if you think that they aren't commenting enough on the music, it's because /nothing/ is happening IN the music to comment on. It may be a great song/bop/huge hit that they're listening to, but that does not mean there are actual complicated musical things happening that they'd be able to talk about.
That little high note at the end was probably Luna, who's able to support her head voice consistently up to Bb5.

The song was produced my some western producers which is why it had a more American feel. The original demo version I'm pretty sure is done by 2 American guys and LDN noise (my fave producers) are two guys from the uk who worked on it, and started doing a lot with sm in 2015. They also did view, 4 walls, dumb dumb, fire truck, monster and lucky one, power, married to the music, papi, rude love, red dress, why, zoo, etc.

The thing about this album and this title track is that I feel like they put out 4walls to be a safe enough bop to chart well bc the rest of the album (as per usual f(x) style) might be too experimental for a public that usually wants easy going pop music. For me personally, I LIKE 4walls, the song, but I LOVE 4walls, the album. "Glitter," "X," "Rude Love," and "Traveler" are ICONIC and I enjoy pretty much every song on the album. I also think 4walls, the song, is like an introduction to the album in a lot of ways -- it's a little off beat, gorgeous chords, but it's a lot more subdued in its complexity than previous albums.
F(x) is such a a talented group I wish they have another comeback!!
i personally think 4 walls is the type of song u couldnt appreciate without the dance if that type of song exists. their 4 walls dance just gives it more sense. more touch i guess. its on a whole new level
There's a reason why 4 Walls is my favourite f(x) song, and it's because of how dreamy it sounds and just how different it is from the other f(x) songs that go super hard and in your face~
I love that there's always somebody who eats xD
When that bass kicks in, I always rewind it to revive me again.

f(x) has my favorite live stages. The dances for 4 Walls and Red Light are my absolute favorite. The dance for 4 Walls is so artistic and aesthetic.
Would have loved for them to see the live performace cuz the dance for 4 walls is just so damn good. But the video is so aesthetic. Also agree with everyone tHAT F(X) NEEDS A COMEBACK (SM LET THEM HAVE A COMEBACK)
Because some people don't actually look into the situation with f(x), here's why you can't really blame SM for their 2 year hiatus:
I hope they react to Luna's Free Somebody! And while the last official comeback the group did have a song for SM station
SME really closing the girl group with the most unique concepts and best quality songs in the dungeon :/ f(x) deserves so much more, they've only had a Japanese concert tour, the members still want to perform and release songs but KYM is too far up his ass to see that. Best girl group out there doesn't deserve this mistreatment
4 WALLS IS MY FUCKING JAAAM! My favorite f(x) song
