  • Apologies to my air rifle viewers, for reasons mentioned in this video I'm not able to spend as much time on the range at the moment.
The owner of this replica asked me to do some jobs on it so I took the opportunity to do a review while fitting the parts, more to follow.
I have to say that I'm impressed by this replica, I'd like one for myself. Is it perfect, well no but I did have to nitpick to find fault with it.
    Denix - I'm impressed.
Soldier of fortune - these items impressed me too.

Thanks for the video! Having not seen one in the flesh I was curious as to what one looked like.
Sorry to hear about your back problems, I'm currently suffering from quite severe lower back pain and the prescription painkillers stopped having an effect months ago and trying to get an appointment with a GP is a nightmare.
    Take it easy!

Hello, thank you for your comment much appreciated 👍🏻. I'm glad the video was helpful.
Sorry to hear you have back pain too, it has been a nuisance trying to get anywhere with the NHS. If you are in the UK try getting referred to the pain management clinic. You have to go through the usual hoops of people offering "support groups" and CBT, but keep going and eventually you will see a good physio and hopefully get a treatment plan. Hope that helps.
My painkillers stopped working too, I'm waiting for a more permanent solution.

hola antonio Las réplicas de Denix no están mal y como bien dices mejoran mucho cuando se les añaden accesorios. Son buenos como piezas de exhibición, pero lamentablemente no son duraderos. Gracias por tus amables palabras, espero lo mismo para ti.

Hello, thank you for your comment much.
The price is much cheaper than a deactivated rifle and also reduces the deactivated rifle market share - hopefully stopping the need for historical items being butchered.
You couldn't buy a live firing Mauser here in the UK without a licence, most people don't want to go through that process.

Great video m8...where to start?....firstly I'm not a medically trained person at all....but your symptoms are exactly 100% of what I've experienced over the years. I played rugby for 30+ years retiring at 50. Way back in 2004 I was involved in a bad tackle which ended up giving me the symptoms you describe, it is in my opinion bulging or herniated discs in your neck . I to waited an eternity for the NHS to deal with me. I had to be fit for work so on the recommendation of a rugby colleague I was given the number of a manipulative therapist, (not necessarily a physio or chiropractor), she basically stretched and massaged my neck back into place over a year or so.....when I first went to se her I was in a chronic state, suffering from 'winged scapula' due to my injury, (you'll have to Google it). The upshot was after a couple of years, despite being told by the NHS never to play rugby again , I played for another 12 or so years. I do have relapses now and then but nothing compared to the first time, apparently the discs shrink as we age so they impinge less on the nerve, currently now I'm having a bit of manageable pain due to having the flu and sneezing a lot, so aggravating the neck area....anyway just a thought m8, I've been there. So the denix k98, looks good, a solid piece. I've a couple of repro bayonets , a k98 and an m1 garand and I like the quality. Regarding the sling , I've two deac k98s one with a repro sling and one with a genuine one on. Yes that keeper for me gets on your nerves when you shoulder the weapon. When I got my 2nd deac k98 I thought 'oh there's only one leather loop on the sling', ergo it must have lost one....I've read somewhere and I stand to be corrected that a genuine ww2 k98 only ever had one leather loop on itand its the repros that are incorrect 🤔🤔🤔. Everything leather repro is always hard to get into place, maybe work some oil into it?. I own two denix guns and they always seem to have 'something ' irritating about them, as you said the mag well?.....why not put a piece of plate in it, or paint it. They can be good value for money especially if the deac equivalent is out of a collectors pocket. Anyway m8 long comment so sorry for that, look forward to the next video on the rifle 👍👍

Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video 👍🏻.
The pain is from my neck down to between my shoulder blades, radiating out down my left arm. My thumb and forefinger are numb, my middle finger is loosing sensation and the other two fingers are painful.
I've no idea how I did it, but it is likely connected to a workplace injury that I should have pursued but didn't have the claim mentality.
Glad yours improved, I'm hoping something can be done to sort mine out. I've contacted a chiropractor that I used to go to, waiting for them to get back to me.
I will have to ask the owner what he wants to do about the loops, I think he will stick with two because it makes it more user friendly.
Still can't get my head around the keeper, just seems to be in the wrong place but thinking about it I do have big hands.
I usually apply Neatsfoot to tight leather items, I thought about using it on the sight protector but it will darken it which may not be to the owner's liking - another discussion point.
As you say the Denix prices versus deacts far outweighs the small annoying bits, nothing that can't be sorted at home.
Don't apologise for the long comment, all must appreciated 👍🏻.

@@nickvending9688 thanks and best of luck with the project and if course the neck and pain problem.....my guess is you've got bulging discs in the 'C6-C7' vertebrae area, because that was my exact symptoms, pad of my ĺeft thumb went numb. I think but can't recall exactly but the main nerve being affected is the thoracic nerve.....I did do a lot of research when I was injured and I listened to how the medical people explained it all . I'd be curious to know your outcome....all the best of luck to you...👍👍🙂

I'm in the process of applying for my licence, would love to find a .22lr like that but will probably have to settle for the inevitable Ruger or CZ.
Period scopes, I'm constantly looking for that kind of thing for myself and for others but the prices of anything that even vaguely looks right have gone through the roof, they are usually knackered too. I'm now looking at dressing up modern 4x32 scopes to look right, almost perfected but still not quite there.
