Great piece Mike! Yours are always great to watch no exception. I always take your recommendations to heart whenever I plan a trip in or outside the US but this one hits a soft spot in my heart. Many people dont know how good is seafood in Egypt and it was amazing to see you experiencing a glimpse of that in the heart of nyc. Thanks and stay safe!
Someone get Mikey a folded Table so he can put it in his car and eat outside. Some foldable chair and table would be great if he just sets up near his car lol. This man is struggling to find a place to sit down and eat.

Why is he driving a car? There are really small motor homes, or pull campers that don't take up a lot of space. If your goal is to stop and eat. There are fit in your bed of a truck tiny camper. Can rewarm your food too.
That’s a good idea they make really compact ones too.

I grew up on Pepes and Sally’s. Being born and raised on the shoreline I was so excited to see you finally come to CT! Do you ever do fan meet ups? If you decide to come to CT again there are so many awesome places to visit.

New haven has the best pizza not just pepe's but there are a multitude good pizza spots

I’ve lived near one of the Frank Pepe locations for a few years now. The white clam pizza is the bomb. It’s something you didn’t think would work but it does.
Frank Pepe invented the white clam pizza (I read he was allergic to tomatoes)! My folks were born in New Haven. Pepe's (and Sally's, Modern, etc) has been part of my life since forever!
Egyptian music was playing behind u when u ate at that bbq stand , also that seafood place is also Egyptian, order the tahini next time , always a perfect match to seafood 👌🏻

16:33 This is soo true. When I was in Dubai and I had a bad day at work, I would eat Kunafeh for dinner to cheer me up. 3 portions of Kunafeh and a side of suliemani (black tea). Instantly day gets better.
I honestly watched with the biggest smile on my face as Mikey just fell in love with the Kunefeh.... best dessert in the world!!!!

First burger came from Germany. The city Hamburg invented it. That's why in Germany the name for a burger is "Hamburger".
From Hamburg some traveler brought it to New Haven in the USA.

Finally! New Haven style pizza! Been loving Pepe's and other places for years. I moved from Connecticut four years ago and miss the pizza there. You should try Zuppardi's if you get the chance.

Welcome to Connecticut, Mike! Pepe's Pizza and Louie's Lunch are iconic, but neither one is the best example of New Haven pizza/hamburgers. Glad you tried them, though!
This is exactly right. I live a town over from New Haven. Pepe's and Louis are the most famous but I'd rather have a pizza from BAR or a burger from Prime 16.

Oh Mikey you're getting closer and closer to Grandma's house you're going to the Amish section of Lancaster which is a wonderful area and they also have some of the best butter. So don't forget to take a pound of Amish butter home you won't regret it

I live so close to New Haven, I go there all the time to get food, they have a really good ramen place called Mecha.
Im so happy you enjoyed all of the food tbh yeah arabic grilled fish is so different from everywhere else a tip try the open seabass from an arabic fish restaurant they pack it with toppings and it taste amazing + The orange desert is called ke-na-feh with a K and yes no one can say no to it, even people on a diet can’t resist 😂😂❤️

I live in Lancaster! There is a surprisingly good food scene here. Some local dishes you should try are shoofly pie, whoopie pies, and chicken pot pie (it's nothing like the little frozen pies in a supermarket). As you said, there are also lots of Amish markets around and I would also recommend going to Central Market in the middle of the city. Hope you enjoy it, I'm excited to see what you find!
