  • The Daher-Socata TBM850 is a fast, uncompromised single-engine turboprop. AVweb's Paul Bertorelli recently flew the airplane with Nick Chabbert and Wayman Luy. Here's his video reports.

Idk if I'd agree with most popular selling single turboprops in the worlds, then again you said "One of the." Ive never seen one at the FBO I work at but I see on a slow day four PC12s. Looks like a nice TBM

Mine has analog gauges and two Garmins, a 750 and a 530 with a bendix weather radar. Yours seems to go faster though with mine saying it 275knts being the red line.
Then again mine is a sim and yours is the real thing… ; )
Just bought this for msfs and flew my first flight tonight in it. Currently making the second as I type this post. Fun aircraft to fly, definitely smaller than the 930 and feels more sporty. Not sure if I prefer the glass cockpit you have or my analog in sim, but it’s a fun plane to fly. Not too bad on the pull to the left when taking off (minimal rudder needed to correct which can probably be trimmed out not to need rudder) and landing her was a breeze. Beta is beautiful; she stops on a dime when it’s engaged. Maybe one day I’ll get to fly the real thing, but having reached my theoretical half life and still not even close, I doubt it. Meh, at least I can hope in the 150ish planes I own for the sim and fly cost free. Bright side of life and all as the saying goes.
Thanks for the video. Nice to look at the real thing while flying a digital copy. Be safe.
Edit: Just finished my 3rd flight in this plane (in sim) and she has become my favorite plane to fly. I usualy prefer turboprop twins but for a single she is such a beautiful plane to fly. I thought the duke turbine was fun to fly, this takes the cake.
The Daher Kodiak 100 is a gem too. This company makes some great aircraft.

Those engines produce a lot of power. It is very reliable, many aircraft are using the same engine for their airplanes. I do wonder if it is possible to reduce the fuel comsumption a little bit. It make the whole thing expensive, the airplane, the fuel costs, maintenance, insurance, hangars, etc.

The crew door is a good idea. The early TBM's, and still the Malibu/Meridian don't have that feature. If your over 6ft. and 200 lbs, it's next to impossible crawling through the cabin. Once seated up front, there's enough room, but getting there can be a hassle. Not to mention emergency egress.

They left the safety pin in the emergency exit. From the POH:
    4 -- Emergency exit . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . CLOSED / LOCKED
    -- Anti--theft safety . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . REMOVE / STOW
Kinda hard to open that in a hurry with the pin installed....
Anyway, I take delivery of mine next month as owner operator. It's going to be a change from the jet, but it's going to be MINE!

+TomCook1993 I fly the TBM 850 professionally as my business operating the only Part 135 certified 850 in the country. Getting paid to fly this plane. Not too shabby!

I added my plane to an existing operator's certificate. It is a very good partnership between us. Looking to upgrade to a 900 this summer!

They are betting on people who can not buy any other plane for that kind of money. It would never be anyone's first choice. PC12 is lots better. Mayb e their newer model CENTury when it finally comes out (after 3 yers development) will be better with the composite parts, the winglets, the new avionics and renewed interior, but still they are not betting on top of market clients.
