Valerie Mc Phail yeah but graffiti is just what you see on the outside - laws are so lax that many historic buildngs are left to decay so that tearing them down is the only option. Laws also make it hard to charge money for old buildings - so thy were being torn down and replaced with the ugliest architecture imaginable. Besides It was not rebuilt after ww2 - vienna is overrated

Vienna lol, Dubai has a lot of history and juxtaposed to the old Dubai is the new Dubai. A lot to enjoy and see there. Compared to Dubai it's a dead city.

I saw everything in 4 days. Most tourist attractions are minutes away form each other by car. Clearly you’ve never been to Rio de Janeiro, that city would take a month to explore
I’ve been to Venice. Let me tell you, it was one of the best experiences of my life. I would love to go to any other city on this list as well

Because of the Renaissance, science and arts improved greatly, and the Voyages of Discovery also started because of the Renaissance. Rome is unarguably the root of the Western world. Dubai is nothing but a medium sized port that had no global historical significance. It was not relevant to the world until the 21st century, really.

I live in Edinburgh and I can tell you it is a beautiful place!
I am Japanese, but the second place in Kyoto is overrated. I think it's about 30th. There are more beautiful cities in the world.
What about St. Petersburg? It's such a fascinating mix of traditional Russian and Italianate Rococo architecture which gave birth to some truly magnificent edifices: the Peter and Paul Fortress, Smolny Cathedral, the Bronze Horseman statue, the Winter Palace and the Hermitage, Trinity Cathedral, Nevsky Prospect, the Mariinsky Theatre, the Church of the Savior on Blood, and so much more! And don't even get me started on how absolutely ethereal the city looks during the White Nights!

I've traveled all over the world, no city on the planet has surprised me more than the most beautiful in my country, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is an extremely problematic city, but in terms of beauty, I have never encountered anything like it in the world.
Define beauty ? there are water everywhere , mountains , flowers etc .... a beautiful city is where you can be yourself , safe , with culture , architecture , accessible universities , good public transport , sustainable , biking city , good food and overall a place of peace of mind ... Breuil is a chaotic country with a lot if issues

Why do people feel always say Dubai. Im sorry, but I don't get it. It looks super modern but less in a dainty way and just a lets get as big as we possible can and do to the strict Sharia law it's not like a real party place either.
it does have a law, but i've went to malls there & people always wear crop tops, shorts, short skirts & they have piercing & tattoos or whatever, the government probably doesn't mind at all

I think there needs to be a methodology to this listing as so many cities on earth can be easily overlooked which are more stunning than this ones you mentioned. Are you ranking the cities in terms of heritage buildings and rich history or interns of cutting edge city layouts along with futuristic buildings and transport infrastructure. I think honourable mentions should have also included the likes of Seoul, Canberra, Washington DC, Cape Town, Brasilia and so many other incredible looking cities.

I've seen quite a few cities, still the most bautiful is Medina! Both the city and the people are beautiful, very friendly to tourists, they treat you as kings, and the aura surrounding the city--too peaceful, it doesn't seem to be like the constantly moving, mobile world. Time slowed down in Medina, and I always dread tomorrow because I don't want to leave. Medina is truly, to put it simply, otherworldly.
Honolulu above Paris and Rome? I lived in Honolulu for 10 yrs, but this is friggin nuts.

Well - I visited 7 of the cities mentioned - apparently my taste is very different. Vienna is number one for me. Freiburg and Salzburg - beautiful small cities. Rome - very impressive! Etc
No Rio de Janeiro? I mean I live in Brazil and dont like Rio that much but the city can beat 5 or 6 of the top 10 in this list.
I know mojo travel can't make top 10s but inserting Honolulu, Bruges, Durban and Honolulu instead of Rome, New York, Moscow, Munich, Florence, Athens and many others is an extreme sport

My favorite attraction is Alishan. There is a beautiful sunrise and fog. If one day you can travel to Taiwan,remember to visit Alishan. You will have good memories.

My thoughts exactly! I liked Santiago a LOT, but Buenos Aires had my wife and I mesmerized. Even so, I think the most culturally wonderful city in the western hemisphere, with plenty of beauty to go around, is Mexico City. GAWD, I love that place!
I have to tell you Jaffa's old city (Tel Aviv) as shown in the image looks strangely more like Prague.
