How to define beautiful? It’s not just about the architecture but also the people, the nature and a clean environment. Who ever have been in Rome won’t admire the people and the environment there.
Than you should go to Naples. It’s more dirty (even if recently for how much dirty is Rome I think they are comparable) but the people are 100 times more social. And the streets all always full of locals not only tourists like in Rome. The city feel alive everybody smiling screaming having fun small alleys packed with things to do and people to meet. And lots of historical buildings. But Rome is Rome 😍
Cape Town, with its majestic Table Mountain is in the words of Sir Francis Drake, "This Cape is the stateliest thing, and the fairest cape we saw in the whole circumference of the earth..."

Apart from the hectic crime and living in security complexes with electric fencing and security guards. There are also areas run by violent gangs. But it has some of the most beautiful scenic backdrop in the world, where the wealthy live. Also one on the world's biggest botanical gardens, which is also a world heritage site. Good nightlife, good restaurants, good prices, but have to be so vigilant about crime, I suppose the same could be said for Rio de Janeiro.

As an African, a Kenyan to be precise, I have been privileged to have visited at least 14 of these cities and over 100 others not on this list, Prague, Dubai countless times including last month, London, Paris, Bruges, Jerusalem, Newyork, Hongkong, Singapore, Capetown, Havana venice, Rome, Istanbul and were it not for the pandemic I would have already visited Cusco, and several others.

@@elblack6062 I have several favourites but Dubai is on top of that list mainly because I have literally witnessed it being built to become the enigma it is today. I also think it's the safest city in the world, a lady can walk alone at midnight freely.

Brazil has great culture and cuisine, it has a singer called Anitta and her best song is "Veneno", there's capoeira, which is from Angola, but it's very celebrated and had several variations in Salvador da Bahia, there's Brega Funk, which is a musical style from the city of Recife, Sertanejo in Goiás, Forró Pé de Serra in the Sertão de Pernambuco, the Arrocha in the metropolis Salvador da Bahia and the Samba that emerged in the Bahian Recônvavo, which is in the metropolitan region of Salvador da Bahia, but is very celebrated and won several in Rio de Janeiro. The cuisine has Maniçoba from Pará which is in the Amazon, Bobó de Camarão from Bahia, Moqueca de Dendê from Bahia, Sururu from Alagoas, Paçoca from Paraná, Tutu de Feijão from Minas Gerais, Pastel from São Paulo, Coxinha from São Paulo, Feijoada from Rio de Janeiro and most importantly: The açaí that can only be found in the Amazon, specifically in Amapá, Pará and Amazonas.

There are lots of spectacular location cities, Rio, Sydney, Hong Kong etc, but when it comes to beauty it's only European cities. The rest of the world has too many skyscrapers and modern buildings which might be functional, but they're ugly.

I appreciate the amount of effort it takes to produce a documentary like this. Some of the featured cities are remarkable. I would mention that Chiang Mai is also gateway to the Mae Hong Loop, a 600 KM loop run with 1864 curves and world class sport biking. I would additionally suggest checking out Qingdao, China, most people think it is one of China's three most beautiful cities. When the Olympic Sailing Center is lit up I can't think of another city that is more beautiful. Most Americans think of New York as the armpit of America, it does have some iconic attractions but if you've ever been there during a sanitation worker's strike, you would never want to go back.

Been to Hoi An, Luang Prabang and Chiang Mai myself. Though there are undeniably beautiful spots in all those places, I don't think they are more beautiful than places like Florence, Budapest or the lovely German town of Rothenburg ob Der Tauber.

Hoi An is definitely spectacular with the historic architecture. Chiang Mai is not beautiful I agree although its a great place to live and visit.

The fact Spain isn't even mentionned here is very strange. Not to mention Barcelona, what about Seville, Grenada, Cordoba ? Chicago should’ve been on here too. It’s extremely beautiful (more than New York imo but that may be pushing it for many). It’s extremely clean for a big city and has many word class amenities. If someone is going to talk about crime, that is NOT the majority of the city!
Chicago is inundated with criminals lots of murders, robberies even in broad delight. It's just nice to see the skyscrapers especially in night time.

Great video! So many cities and beautiful places! All the travels go in circles. I rode around Asia, spelling out a parabola on one of the hemispheres of our planet. In short, a circumnavigation is just a curious person's way back home. And I learned one thing...never save for something you can't replicate.

In at least half of this list, this is total misunderstanding. Why is not present any city of Scaninavian region? (Oslo, Trondheim, Stockholm, Malmo, Kopenhagen, Helsinki)? Why are not present such wonderful cities like Budapest, Vienna, Riga or even Moscow? Not mention about some pearls from my country: Wrocław, Krakow...
I suppose they wanted to have cities of different types from different parts of Earth and the most popular ones. But it seems they haven’t formulated the criteria. I don’t understand how can be on the one list such big cities like New York, Istanbul or Rio and small medieval Dubrovnik or Brugge. Besides Dubrovnik is romantic and popular after “Games of Thrones” but Croatian Split is much more interesting because the medieval town was built inside the Dioclecletian palace (ancient Roman) which is quite unique. I suppose this video should be considered not like Top-30 but just like a collection of beautiful views from different parts of the world.
You have a point about Riga. Also Krakow could make this list too.

I’ve been to half of these places. I’m so glad Istanbul made the cut. That’s my favorite city! I feel Budapest should have made this list, as well as La Paz. I suppose it’s all subjective.

A great 👍 video but you could of easily added another 30 cities to your list. One of my most favorite cities in the world 🌎 didn't make your list, Buenos Aires, Argentina. I went there and couldn't leave I ended up spending 10 years there and enjoyed every moment. Also Havana Cuba was just as good but I only spent 30 days in Havana.

I've been 14 so far. There are far more beautiful cities that aren't included on the list, Barcelona, Lisbon, Amsterdam, and Viena. I thinl Istanbul is the best one for me. Aside from the amazing history, architecture, and culinary experience, I think Turkish people are one of the nicest and most welcomeing people in my experience, at par with Filipinos and Mexicans.

What about Buenos Aires? It combines traditional French styled and contemporary architecture with beautiful parks, some of them with sculptures by Rodin. In comparison New York is basically a city with 100 year old buildings that look like cardboard boxes.
