    I'm sure that they put up those roofs for a good reason, but at the same time these structures seem to have done just fine exposed to the elements for the last 900 years.

    Ethiopia is not a poor country this country has so many resources and treasures so the first will be the last, the last we will be first Ethiopia it was first country currently struggling growing not too far to become Ethiopian eastern

      Thank you so much our Nepalese friend for your love of ancient and proud Godly Ethiopia 👍👍 Love Nepal and Kathmandu too, Nepal and Ethiopia share a lot in common, both are ancient people and both are roofs of Asia and Africa respectively!!! More than 60 percent of Africa's highest mountains are in wonderful Ethiopia and so Ethiopia is called "the roof of Africa "!!! 💚💛❤🇪🇹

    It's nice to see foreigners vlog about their trip in Ethiopia. And the churches are reaĺly amazing, by the way dancing is forbidden at churches in Ethiopian especially the Orthodox church which Lalibela Churches are one of. So thing you saw there were a form of prayer and thanking god. It's called "Yared Mahleytey" in Ahmaric. Great view from that hotel I'm Ethiopian who lives outside the country and plan to visit this place. Thank you for your great video

    What you're seeing will probably be part of the liturgies for the Ethiopian Tawhedo Orthodox Church, which is the main religion in Ethiopia

    The Smithsonian did radiometric dating on some of the wood from one of the churches and they are said the churches are older than the 12th century.

    Ancient Abysinians and current Ethiopians are different. The current Ethiopia as we know it is only 120 years old. Ethiopians did not built Lalibela.
