Nah she was smiling bc she knew she could’ve done the triple like she’s aiming for, but bailed bc she had she done so well already she just went with where she landed.

And I think the fact that she went out there to have some fun really calmed her nerves
For everyone complaining about the score, this was the 4th highest floor score of the night, behind Simone, Kayla, and Jordan. That's not too shabby, especially since we all know she can still improve form a lot!
And add a triple full and a front through the full-in also!

form? her form is way more of the proper ballet form than the others you mentioned, being the best tumbler is awesome, but true gymnastics incorporates ballet, which Mckayla mastered
@@gemsstoned6662 Hahaha you're kidding right? She's terribly inflexible compared to other gymnasts. Are you a 4-year fan? Or are you a "fan" of the sport only because Mykayla's youtube channel introduced you to the sport? You have no idea what gymnastics form is.

NBC stunk at their coverage. They kept showing the same gymnasts instead of everyone possible. Irritating. McKayla did so good. It was worthy of being shown on TV!!

So much better here than in Day 1. She went out of bounce in almost all her passes she didn’t go out here tho.

This routine was GREAT! That E score feels a little harsh tbh. I thought this was a 14+ routine.
not really. She probably lost almost a full point for the first tumbling pass alone.
her first pass has like a half a point in built in deductions
And that right there is why she will never make the Olympic team. Her E score is always in the 7s. Her coaches have always depended on a large D score to compensate for her lack of form/flexibility but it just hasn't played out that way.

I'd have no business giving this advice to her directly, but there's a way to fix those flexed feet. My punitive diving coach hated that I flexed my feet when I was afraid/hesitant on a dive, so she made me sit down by the pool and pick up 100 marbles with my toes and move them from one side of my outstretched leg to the other. It was painful and caused horrible spasms, but I only received the punishment ONCE.
Her landings are the bomb though.

I’m so proud of her! She did so well. Although, I feel like the E score was a little low. Yes, she incurred lots of deductions, but of 2 points? That’s just a little low for me. Instead of 2.2 points, I feel like it should’ve been 1.8. Yes, she has plenty deductions, but I think that was ATLEAST a 14.100 routine.
