EXCELLENT.... I'll change my lower unit gear lube tomorrow. Thank You.
Thank you. Very easy to follow and understand.
I must do this on a Merc Opti max 150, very good instructions will follow directions
Thanks again! That's a great looking steel prop. I had an aluminum one on a Concept 22 Center Console I bought in Miami area to use in SW Florida. It cavitated badly. I bought a Laser or Lazer 2 steel prop from MN and it never cavitated again.
Great video. Super helpful!
Lube up the shaft before putting the Prop back on. [Literally mean this, not an innuendo.] Mercury makes a marine grease 2-4-C specific for this application.
Good instructive vid. Thanks! Would add its very Important to use a torque wrench and set the prop nut tightness to proper foot pounds so your prop hub will protect the gear box and prop shaft if you hit something. My Optimax 225 calls for 100 ft pounds. This is Much tighter than you can do with a short socket wrench and just by guessing its tight. Hope this helps someone.
Thank you sir!
Thaaaanks ⚘
I will do it today for my mercury 250 efi
Mey have question ... 🙏
About the jack there is any video about ?
Or How to check the oil or it work good ?
It would be nice to know where did you get the adapter and pump kit to put in the new oil. Good job on the video. It is helpful.
Dealer or any boat store.
I have a question I have a 40 hp two cylinder two-stroke mercury outboard engine and my question is do all lower units use the 90 Weight Lube and do they all hold one quart?
Lucas oil comes in some
I'm told that the prop nut should be torqued to 55 Foot pounds
hmm
