  • We test some popular drying aids for ceramic coatings in this video. Some we've been using for a long time, some have just come out.
Drying a ceramic coated vehicle is much easier than drying a non-coated vehicle, but we're always looking for ways to make it safer and easier. When you dry a vehicle using just water the risk for scratching is high, so adding a lubricant into the mix will make things much safer. That's what these products do.
    Products Tested:
    Ceramic Pro Care
Available at 10% off with code cpbguoppawv3

    Ceramic Pro Sport
Available at your local installer [we're located in Oregon]
    Opti-Coat Hyper Seal

    Optimum Opti-Seal

Thanks for watching. We love doing reviews and testing of ceramic coating products and any other auto detailing related tools and chemicals.

I like how Optimum Opti-Seal performs, that's one of the reasons why I'm still using it.

We are having CP Sport applied to my wife’s truck next week - for maintenance washing would you recommend CP Care spray, or Mystic?
Also - for our other vehicle I am considering a comparison test of the CP Sport vs a regular wash routine of Americana SOAP and Mystic finisher. (Less cost but will it perform as well?)

NIce vid. Do drying aids contain wax? Also, do they help prevent water spots when washing in sun?

Most of these contain a polymer sealant ("wax"), and /or sio2.
The best way I've found to avoid water spots is to wash with Optimum No Rise in place of my soap. I might still have to power wash heavy dirt and mud, but washing with ONR helps a lot.
Also, I sometimes use their (Optimum) Car Wax which is a combination of sealant polymers and carnauba wax.

I have Ceramic Pro on my car, would you recommend Ceramic Pro Care as a enhancer for it? I really want to get Ceramic Pro Sport but that’s only for authorized installers.

LxusGS yes, I definitely recommend CP Care for the best performance with Ceramic Pro coatings

So you spray and wipe with the water still on the car?

Angelo Gountas yes, that’s how we use these types of products as drying aids

What you think about the car pro reload silica spray?

It performs really well, haven't used it as a drying aid though. Dry application streaks if you aren't careful. tbh I haven't tried it in over a year though.
