7 days of quarantine in the Netherlands

- We ha to self-quarantine for the first 7 days upon arrival in the Netherlands, here is a little vlog that shows how we kept ourselves busy and entertained!
Now that we're out of quarantine we can finally enjoy and explore beautiful Amsterdam, and begin our next challenge: Apartment hunting!

Hi girls! When you get to know the city and the way of life in Holland, you should do a comparison video in which you explain the differences between every country you lived in. It would be interesting, give us the feeling of travelling and living in each country and also it could help us decide wether to move or not!

Alexis is the wild friend I need in my life
I am from Dutch descent. I love watching you learn Dutch. My mother told me Dutch people aren't that friendly. So don't take it personally if people are not that friendly at first. She is 94 and every year spent 6 weeks in spring/summer near Amsterdam at my cousin's house. ( She hasn't been last year and this year) and she is not happy about it. You are going into the Dutch spring it will be so beautiful. I wanted to go last year but instead I started a online business. I have met this women at JVC when I was buying a nutra-bullet. I had this weird coloured sweater on. And low and behold there was this women wearing exactly the same colour at the checkout. We both commented on this strange coincidence. She wouldn't stop smiling at me. I said I need to eat raw veges she said she makes great soups. It's Autumn here. In a week I am going bush. At this gorgeous echo cottage in Denmark. A small piece of paradise. For some reason I said I am going away for a week to this place and she said she had just come back from there still smiling at me I felt so awkward not good at this at all. There were other people so I didn't get to do phone numbers. She just kept smiling at me. That was a week ago. We just had
Sorry. We just had a 3 day Lock down. But I am going to put on my big girl pants and follow through. It's scary but exciting and I can't that smile. At best we are going to be potential lovers/relationship. Or friends. Thank you so much you give me strength and encourage to explore my sexuality. You two are so cute. I mean that in the nicest way. Hugs and kisses and have fun. I would do some affirmations about getting the right living space. A dog park nearby. Make a vision board and cut out pictures of what you want in this new home. But I think you bring good energy to anywhere you live. Praying for us. Xxxxx
When Alexis did her shadow dance, I was reminded of Dutch bloggers I used to follow and their deep appreciation for sunlight streaming in through their windows. It seemed so precious to them. You ladies have a beautiful life. Keep enjoying- and don't give up on the yodelling!!

Glad you made it! My husband and I are moving to Amsterdam from the states on July 14th! We are beyond excited, but our visa process has been much harder and very costly. Do you have any tips for shipping your pet, like which airline actually allowed you to do it? That's my biggest tie up right now.. We have 2 doggos we need to bring with us, but many airlines have discontinued :(
We flew from Canada with KLM, they only allow dogs on specific types of planes so we were lucky to find a flight where they used a different type of Boeing randomly. But I heard that from the US it's tricky at the moment, but KLM operated flights (not Delta) and Lufthansa still allow dogs. Best of luck! It was a lot of preparation and work but it paid off.

It looks like palo santo, which is a type of tree that grows in South America. The wood is burned as an incense, and releases an aromatic smoke into the air. It can be used for smoke cleansing, similar to sage.
