Im a math major at university of Connecticut and i didnt know about the trick you used to check if the trinomial is a perfect sqaure trimonial. Great video ! Even if your takimg advanced courses you can always still learn something new everyday no matter how long ago you learned something! Keep up the grrat vidoes , i admire your teaching!
I’ve finally memorized trinomials and what my teacher calls a tricky trinomial (which is a trinomial where the first X has a number in front of it) which we use decomposition for tricky trinomials. I have this all memorized since I learnt them in grade 10 and I’m in grade 11 now. Factoring is very useful for grade 10,11, and 12 depending on what math class you take.

My older brother always say “when factoring quadratic trinomials you must find a number that in the middle you can add it and in the third one you must multiply it”
Example x² + 6x + 9
So you find numbers that you can add it can find six then multiply it to find nine
Works gets a little trickier with a negative but same idea
