  • Is you tire stuck on the hub? Can't remove the tire? In this video I show you exactly the steps I go through when removing a stuck tire. I'd first like to welcome you to the channel! In this video, I’ll walk you through the exact steps I take to remove a stuck tire from a hub. Whether you're dealing with a flat tire on the roadside or simply doing routine maintenance in your garage, these tips will help you get the job done efficiently and safely. Don't let a stubborn tire ruin your day - follow along with this comprehensive guide!
    *Step-by-Step Guide:*
    1. *Safety First:*
    - Before you begin, ensure your vehicle is parked on a flat, stable surface.
    - Engage the parking brake and use wheel chocks to prevent any movement.
    - Always wear gloves and eye protection for added safety.
    2. *Gather Your Tools:*
    - A jack and jack stands to lift and secure the vehicle.
    - A lug wrench to remove the lug nuts.
    - A rubber mallet or a piece of wood and a regular hammer.
    - Penetrating oil to loosen any rust or debris.
    - A tire iron or a sturdy lever.
    3. *Loosen the Lug Nuts:*
    - Use the lug wrench to slightly loosen the lug nuts while the tire is still on the ground. Don’t remove them completely yet.
    4. *Lift the Vehicle:*
    - Position the jack under the vehicle’s recommended lifting point and raise the vehicle until the tire is off the ground.
    - Secure the vehicle with jack stands to ensure stability.
    5. *Remove the Lug Nuts:*
    - Now, fully remove the loosened lug nuts and set them aside in a safe place.
    6. *Apply Penetrating Oil:*
    - Spray penetrating oil around the hub where the tire meets the vehicle. Let it sit for a few minutes to break down any rust or debris.
    7. *Loosen the Stuck Tire:*
    - If the tire doesn’t come off easily, use the rubber mallet or a piece of wood and a hammer to tap the tire from the backside.
    - Work your way around the tire, gently tapping in different spots to avoid damaging the rim.
    8. *Use Leverage:*
    - If the tire is still stuck, use a tire iron or a sturdy lever. Place it between the tire and the hub, and gently pry the tire away.
    - Be cautious not to damage the rim or hub.
    9. *Inspect and Clean the Hub:*
    - Once the tire is removed, inspect the hub for any rust or debris. Clean it thoroughly with a wire brush and apply a thin layer of anti-seize compound to prevent future sticking.
    10. *Reinstalling the Tire:*
    - Position the tire back onto the hub and hand-tighten the lug nuts.
    - Lower the vehicle slightly so the tire makes contact with the ground and tighten the lug nuts in a star pattern to ensure even pressure.
    - Fully lower the vehicle and give the lug nuts a final tightening.
    *Conclusion:*
Removing a stuck tire can be a frustrating task, but with these steps, you can do it efficiently and safely.
