Evo's were definitely faster than STi's. Doesn't mean people have to love it more because it's faster though. It was the only wonderful car rivalry in my opinion. I wish they would continue to do Evo's.

In Puerto Rico the car is called a Mitsubishi Mirage Technica and it's actually one of the most common street racing and modified cars around the island. Great videos guys keep it up. Mad cars guys!!

Every man and his dog had hektik Zepter chromies or something that resembled a dinner plate. I also remember a Nissan Exa with 'SEXA' plates - disaster. The interesting thing now is i've seen a few of these cars in ZOOM re-modified into proper track or drag cars which is weird as you think the owners would go all Stancypants as per the current trend

As a fellow Mitsubishi owner I think this car has a lot of potential, my suggestions are: - 4WD conversion - 4G63 swap - Evo 4/5/6 front and rear end - Your usual Mighty Car Moddery to the rest of the car
+Ayman Ali Mitsu guy here, also recommend this. But it would blow the budget by at least 3x. The motor alone is about 2-3500 depending on condition and mileage. Then again they're in Australia where those are probably cheaper since its' closer to Japan.
My first car was a 2002 Ce lancer (same generation as this, same 1.5l SOHC), that I put maaaaaaad wheels and kit on. This speaks to me on so many levels haha. Well done boys!
Oh wow, these cars are incredibly light making them possibly good for turbo/big engine swaps (I had the US Mirage version, 4 door but with a 1.8 4G93), but the suspension (maybe Chassis too?) direly needs upgrades from stock. That thing also dented like no tomorrow and the paint was paper-thin. Have it in the family, but leaks water. When maintained properly, the engines in these cars outlast the bodies. Good luck with this one and setting it right again if that's the plan!
Saabs dudes! just picked up a mint 01 9-3 for 2,500 AU. Aussie versions are the low pressure turbos but you can flash the ECU back to the full pressure pretty cheap.
Here in the States we call those the Mariage - the Lancers didn't come until later and they actually look like the evo's. That thing is hilarious, I look forward to this series!!! I doubt that thing is making any positive boost, haha.
