Ayibobo my sisiter,please can you clarify something for me,in my spirituality wich is Haitian vaudouin order for someone to be initiadedrhe person must first be chosen by the spirits is it the same with you or anybody who has some money can be uniriated.. .I am really asking this question because we have been having this same problem in the Hairian community where some mambos or hougan initiate anyone who comes with money.

I practice Hoodoo, I've had paranormal experiences since I was a child. It was terrifying in the beginning 😖 but as I've got older and left the church, I've learned to except these gifts. I can't control any of it but I thank the creator when these things happen.

Someone stated that a person should not throw away their items. Two examples. My mother was a Chango initiate and I threw out every single thing from her Alter and all of her other objects related to her Orisha. She wanted me to. She left somethings that were passed to each person individually. My aunt on the other hand an initiate of Ochun. She left everything to her cousin and was now our elder and she distributed her items we all came and asked for what we wanted. I was born into a family of Lukumi and Santeria. There is no self initiation that I know of.
There's Food animals music and ceremony and it takes a year or more of special preparations to what we call to" make the Saint" Or become an initiate. One is the cutting of your hair and wearing white for a year
No true work in this tradition is learned by the internet or on CZcams. It is too extensive. The word lisence and specialized may be misleading because people may think that you have to get like a degree in this work. Lol. Find the right guides and community of people who can guide you through your journey. P.S. we don't use the Tarot. Thank you Queen for your videos.

Hi Elemi, I absolutely love how clear you explain everything. Being initiated in any of this traditions are absolutely beautiful, but you must be really ready for the big responsibility that comes with it, it’s done mostly to either help yourself in an urgent health situation or things like that grave. The Orishas and the Ancestors are to be taken seriously and with the most respect, they are not a genie lamp that will grant wishes.
I’ve noticed you always wear white or bright colors and your hair completely covered, is there a specific reason for that? Could you share that information? Many blessings and ASHÉ ASHÉ ASHÉ!!!

Ifa is a process. It’s a.. tradition that does not need to be rushed. I don’t know how long you’ve been looking to become Ifa, and honestly, I think you should continue seeking information. However, Ifa is a process that can take years.
You must go through an Egbo, where your head Orisha will crown you their child. Asè Ò
I have been interested in initiation for years but get some stale information and not sure if it was to gain money from me. Wasn’t sure if the individuals we’re ordained.

Thank you for setting health boundaries around this and thank you for speaking to the fact that people try to use spirituality to appear larger than what they are. I had a person try to tell me that they had confirmed themselves on their own. Now, I knew very little on the subject BUT I never let someone's perceived position syke me out. They did get some support from me but not to the point where the lessons I learned were not worth it. Cheers to people whom actually want to get their soul purpose correct. Ironically, when people play the role of something/someone they are not they just dig their own hole deeper.
This is one of my favorite channels on youtube. I like that everything is explained so clearly and non-judgemental. Everything is taught with a good amount of tradition and modernity. Thank you!

@@LadyCoyKoi omg same , south Florida botanicas are so crazy. I walked into a botanica On 36th and the cashier was lighting a few 7 day candles at the register for this woman and he didn’t even have any protective practices going. I literally walked in on a ritual and it was a hot mess.

Thank you for this video! Your spiritual algorithms are always right on time. I keep having dreams and some correlated symbolisms from a specific Orisha. I know we shouldn’t just rely on dreams alone. It’s just that the dreams connect and resonate so well. I haven’t fully gone into the process of initiation because I’m still learning. I only started venerating my ancestors. And every time I ask them if it was okay or to send me an Orisha, this same one came up. My last dream, a couple days ago had all the Orisha’s and my ancestors were telling me which cousin or aunt is with which Orisha. I don’t know. The messages and transformations are great. I just don’t want to offend any Orishas

As you mentioned, this way of life has existed for millennia and it's still very much alive.
