- Many songs from the Tamil Films have been ignored periodically for reasons best known to no one. Especially, never or rarely attempted in any reality shows, stage shows or competitions. When the nation is on a Quarantine, Subhasree Thanikachalam launches this new series.This series will feature a set of some classic songs that are rarely heard, rarely performed, mainly between the period 1945 - 1992, and she will also try and give some trivia for the songs.The songs will all be performed by young singers who came out of her shows, which mainly focused on old songs. Re programmed and arranged by musicians.

One interesting news. On the day of the marriage of AM Raja and Jikki, Radio Cylon broadcast only the songs sung by Raja and Jikki . Just before closing of Tamil programme at 7 pm the last song broadcast was this song- "Mayakkum malai pozhudhe nee po po". We praised radio cylon for their presence of mind.
Radio Ceylon was a Great Radio channel during 60s to 70s which mesmerized us during that time.🙏

Great. Our beloved MGR had few duet songs with PBS and also AM Raja. This classic love duet is evergreen. Thanks to all for a superb rendition. Maybe should try Kanmoodum velayilum from Mahadevi, another AMR & MGR classic, if not done already.
