      Eldar D-Cannon. Area effect, auto kill, no save. The bit of space is simply made no more.

    They are far better then those underpowered blasters in Star Wars. Still there can be room for improving the weapon systems without there being tech heracy and also better performance.
    If they knew of the real life military theory known as Onion theory they could be adapting some of those steps from those teachings in some really good ways to increase effective tactical combat performance somewhat even on the crazy insane battlefields they endure constantly.

    Imagine if the Imperium could still make Necron level weapons again.

    • @DeathBYDesign666
      @DeathBYDesign666 Před rokem +9

      Didn't the tech priests steal that technology from them? Even then it was relatively low level necron tech, nothing like that map of the galaxy that actually effects the Galaxy when you touch it or even necron FTL which nobody has figured out. I'm gonna go with something like the Holtzman effect from dune where you can actually fold space, only they have advanced AI to do it for them. I think most of the civilizations are at the type 2 or 3 stage by now but the Necrons might be at that type 4 stage. Imagine if they had kept developing over that 60 million year slumber.

      @@DeathBYDesign666 The Imperium used to have "sun snuffers" that could erase entire star systems, so humanity was pretty close to the Necrons back then. They even had machines that could walk about as swiftly as Eldar ones.

    Question, why can't the Imperium create a research branch prioritize to aid the Mechanicus and help produce protocols and methods of protecting technology research from Warp corruption? And produce effective weapons they can fully control?
    Wouldn't the Gellar Fields which they already have in existence offer good shielding protection to that issue? Protecting the research stations as a result? It can't be impossible. And when factions of the Mechanicus start taking issue just say it will benefit the machine spirits and unleash their true power against the enemies of humanity however we must be sure to examine and observe it to judge accurately. That should do the job.
    They could have been producing better point defenses, missiles, and better kinetic, explosive, and energy weapon systems by now. New improved armor and fire arms with better refineries could have made the Imperial Guard forces stronger and more advance production methods for shipyard lanes.
    It's not tech heracy as long as the research and field testing abide within the parameters of the doctrines and no artificial intelligence is involved. Those tactics, organization structure, and the establishing the tight security protocols and procedures of keeping the safety of the research and documentations could have refound some of the lost Dark Age of Technology level capabilities.
    Even for a regime like the Imperium those proactive defecting presences in the galaxy shouldn't be too difficult to figure ways around or through. Be sure to take the steps of safely concealing and protecting the research from Chaos, traitor, and heracy hands.

    • @nobleman9393
      @nobleman9393 Před rokem +2

      The Mechanicus sees the tech as sacred and has an opinion that the technology is already there somewhere in the Galaxy, so they only have to go and find it, Luetin made a pretty good video about it.

    • @thorshammer7883
      @thorshammer7883 Před rokem +1

      @@nobleman9393However if it can't be recovered it should be made a good point and case about those issues and resources required to find them.
      Better steps can be obtained and put into practice in means of assuring that tech can be rediscovered through controlled trial and error and observation. The Mechanicus can still do that if they want as their doctrine says but trying to research it again doesn't hurt either especially under a controlled and monitored environment that is made tightly secure and defended.

    • @thorshammer7883
      @thorshammer7883 Před rokem +1

      @@nobleman9393And thank you for listing the Mechanicus video I'll check it out.
      I know of the traditions and doctrines of the Mechanicus and their whole theology operates but I see that it is as it is now unmaintainable and cannot be managed forever. So solutions and ways around without there being tech heracy must be presented and passed to ensure the long lasting standing of the Imperium especially since it's enemies are growing stronger. It must endure and strive to fortify itself proactively.

      Sorry, you can blame the current powers that be at GW for ignoring some of the basic tenets that made 40K "good." In the "real canon," man is in a dark age of technology. He FEARS old technology, and religions have been built around anything that is still in service. For example, a starship runs only if the correct prayers are recited over the engines to keep them running. Or that's how it used to be.

    Correction: an antiphasic weapon is something that fires bullets or shells specifically designed to stop Necron units from phasing out of a battlefield when critically damaged, so that the user of the weapon can make sure they are actually destroyed, or neutralized for capture and study. They are primarily used by the Deathwatch.
    The kind of weapon you described, which goes in and out of reality to bypass conventional defenses, instead sounds like a Necrons hyperphasic weapon. Given the visuals of exitus rifles and Vindicates you put up, it's likely you mixed it up with the shield breaker rounds, which are a known type of ammo that Vindicates use to bypass enemy shields.

    1). Lasguns, about as much use as a torch light! 1a).Autoguns, high rate of fire, but as useless as Lasguns. 2). Bolt guns, fire a mini missle & are mass reative. A much more lethal & highly sought out weapons! 3.) Flamers, excellant against massed infantry & useful for clearing bunkers & buildings.
