- Samantha Fuentes, who was injured in the Parkland mass shooting by Nikolas Cruz, gave a victim impact statement during the 24-year-old's sentencing for killing 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Fuentes, who still has shrapnel in her body from the shooting, said that Cruz will never forget her face.

Horrible tragedy that was. All school shootings are. I schooled in 70s and a couple psychopathic kids were bent on destruction. Assault weapon attacks were never even considered. Spray paint, firecrackers, fistfights and on occasion a knife threat at the worst. ( very rare)

These aren't impact statements. There were impact statements made before sentencing. Impact statements don't mention the defendant or the crime itself, just merely how their lives have changed. Directly addressing the convicted, such as this, happens AFTER the sentence is delivered.

Why don’t they allow more victim statements in many courtroom proceedings? These people deserve to face their victims and hear their stories. But I just don’t see this happening very often.

Yo, I don’t want an inmate to just take him out right away. They need to push his sh!t in a few years
He'll have plenty of time to reflect on things. I don't condone other prisoners violating him. Those other prisoners would themselves be in prison for having violated others in some way. Being in prison for the rest of his life will very probably be worse than execution. Humane executive would be the easy way out for him.

I also disagree with you on life in prison. They very though of being executed at anytime is far worse. Also, giving him the ability to delay death through the court system will give him hope. That hope will be short and then destroyed. Ideally he would live 50-60 more years being violated. Then just before he dies of old age he should be executed….. executed with a rock on the head in the back of the prison. It’s people who feel death for death is inhuman that makes me sick. This was deliberate. He deserves to die but also feel the burn. Ultimately the world keeps spinning regardless if you and I are on it or not. But he deserves it and be completely erased from history. Being erased isn’t possible. Soooo in this instance his name should be revoked from everything regarding parkland. He should just be called parkland murderer. His image removed from all prints. It’s not just to require them to believe in the death penalty, it’s not just to punish them for having beliefs (which you and I also have and defend the right to have).. it’s also not just that one person can overrule the choice of the majority.
