Just opened mine. It says not to put on carpet. Also the frosty button is if it gets too cold. Hope this helps as we are sweating in Michigan...lol

Is it normal that my Danby dehumidifier 50 pint DDR050BJPWDB-ME randomly stops for a minute or two at 44% (I set it at 40%) and then resumes? I also noticed even though I set it at 40%, it goes down to 39%, doesn't shut off though, but continues within a minute after it said 39% it goes back up to 43%? It's so strange and I'm not sure if I have a faulty one. It was a great deal at Costco so I went for it but this is my first dehumidifier so not entirely sure what's normal vs not.

hmmm. what happens if you set it at 50, does it do the same thing ( meaning cycle down 1 percent and back up 4). If it were mine I would return it if I could. Just doesn't seem right

@@jrin12 I am thinking of maybe getting one on these, but can you remove and clean the filter? If so, how would you go about doing that? The one I am eyeballing is the
