It's kinda sad to think that one of the reasons Sasuke never approached Naruto to become his friend, besides his ego and his trauma, was because he knew that if he did, he would probably have to kill him someday.

Carson and Lindsey around this time the Blood Prison movie production was underway and lot staff went to work on the movie. So the director of NARUTO, Hayate Date decided to try but some time until they returned. Since only Masayuki Kouda and few other stayed behind to work on the tv series.
That's a pretty deep episode. All Naruto's friends and enemies are essentially telling him the same thing about Sasuke.
Because Naruto is a naive child who, for all he experienced, still do not understand what reality really is. Youâd think he would actually grow up and be more mature will all that shit he experienced but apparently not.

And no, Naruto didn't understand Sasuke. he thinks that he does, but he actually doesn't. That's like saying someone who never experienced war will understand what kind of hell war actually is. It just doesn't work that way. In his case, he will never understand how it feels like to have your own brother, the one you idolized the most and the one you strove to become, kill your whole clan and be forced to relive it in your mind courtesy of said brother. Then to find out that your own government practically sanctioned the death of your clan when its their fault they wanted to coup in the first place...
@@reveriec You literally aren't paying attention to the story at all if you think Nagato being convinced wasn't already the proper order of things. Also, Naruto absolutely knows what Sasuke feels because he's both a jinchuuriki, and because he's now experienced what feels like loss twice over(Tsunade and Jiraiya) on top of now knowing what he's missing out on in family due to Minato. He doesn't have to know things 1-1 to understand Sasuke's pain. Since you forgot to use your brain, but Sasuke is the one who's mind and goal has been changing, not Naruto

I believe that everyone in the Akatsuki knows that Naruto is trying to bring Sasuke back to the Leaf Village. So it's not surprising that Pain was aware of that.

Lol he is just trolling. Naruto and Sasuke were never ever stated as gay. People just find their friendship odd. Sasuke ends up marrying Sakura and having a daughter. Naruto marries Hinata and has a son and daughter
11:08-11:14 Pain was trying to get under Naruto's skin, he was losing the physical battle at that point so he was trying to trigger Naruto.
Also Pain was the leader of the Akatsuki, even if he wasn't the "true leader" he was one of the original members and most likely had intel on Itachi and all the other Akatsuki members
Actually, he didn't. In future episodes during the war, Nagato is totally unaware about Itachi's secret. I do know that it's pretty easy to miss, but that's the case. Won't say a lot since it will count as spoilers for upcoming big stuff.
@@Pokemetry Itachi's secret is one thing, but at least superficial knowledge of everyone but Madara he sure had. Plus, we've seen Nagato and Madara discussing Sasuke, so it stands to reason he would know about Naruto stalkerish nature towards him
@@RRS_027 My reply was meant for Nagato not knowing about Itachi's secret because the comment mentioned that Pain had intel on Itachi. Ofcourse everyone knew on the surface why Sasuke was going after Itachi and what Itachi had done. But no was aware about the secret about the Itachi. Only Madara knew it from the Akatsuki. Madara was the one to invite Itachi to Akatsuki when he met with him before the night.
What I am saying is no body knew Itachi's secret and only knew the information whiche was already out there, except some people and Pain was not part of that group until Naruto mentioned it.
I think that these flashbacks are necessary for what is coming ... do not forget that these episodes came out weekly and it was necessary to recap on occasions.
We already know all flashback man,in this episode they showing everything already happened in OGs and all like we don't know anything about it,only gud in this flashback new one naruto and sasuke looking each other,it's not one min instead they putting 15mins is so slow,naruto is one of the very slow pacing in anime I ever seen
13:00 Almost everything I would say. Of course, he did everything he could, but he clearly underestimated Tobi and pushed Sasuke too far on a path of revenge. He made sure Sasuke would live his entire life thinking only about that and even told him to kill his best friend to awaken the MangekyĂŽ. There was no way Sasuke would even consider protecting Leaf, at best he didn't care about the village. But after learning the truth, of course Sasuke would react the same way he did his entire life. If he wanted Sasuke to never know the truth so bad, he should have prepared more than just a one-time Amaterasu to kill someone he suspected to be Madara.
well he did. he put shisui's eye in naruto for that purpose. but how tf is he supposed to predict everything that happened with madara, the war, and the true purpose of the akatsuki
he admitted that he pushed sasuke too far on the path of revenge when he was reanimated. but he also prevented an entire war, a coup that would've not only killed all the uchiha anyway but tarnish their name, injure and weaken the leaf, and cause other nations to attack.
i think he gets too much hate when literally everything was on his shoulders. everyone expects him to be perfect when he did more for the world and was one of the most unselfish sacrificing shinobi.

But this is proof that he hasn't thought of everything. Obviously he was not perfect, and he did what he could given the circumstances, not to mention that his illness was killing him slowly.
But the truth is, he didn't think Tobi knew everything about him and even though he wanted to avoid a meeting between Sasuke and him, he hadn't planned anything sufficient to prevent it. He thought about a lot of things, but he was clearly lucky that Naruto was there, since his plans to save Sasuke and the village after his death had failed.

Something i'd like to add is the fact that Naruto doesn't understands just Sasuke's pain of losing someone. He also understands his vengeance feelings, cause he wanted to avenge Jiraiya

Honestly this is why people say that Naruto is overrated, they skip episodes like this/ watch a few episodes leading up to fights and the fights themselves and say it was aight, Naruto is not good because of the fights it's good because of the feels you get from watching and understanding the struggle of people especially Naruto trying to stop the "Cycle of hatred". While it still has a lot of pointless fillers and plot holes, it's a show that I can come back and enjoy.
TLDR: This episode and generally episodes like this are IMO what define Naruto as a series and it's completely stupid when people decide to glance over or just skip them entirely.

One of the few episodes where the flashbacks makes so much sense... After all Naruto is going through an identity crisis and so it makes sense that he thinks back about important moments for him...
Naruto truly changed after pain and after meeting minato, it made everytbing bearable

When I heard that, I had a feeling the plot would be basically be a naive childâs adventure in a world where he survived because of luck. Even as an adult, he never really matured.
And no, Naruto never understood Sasuke and Nagatoâs pain. He acted like he did, but he never did and never will.

I think early naruto looked good "for the time it came out on" but digital colouring and composition does make it looks better.
Also in episodes like this u can see the diference in quality, carson noticed it from the start.

And a flashback episode made by studio pierrot, it looked so good, the direction, the art corrections, the editing even naruto running trough the snowy trees. Aah so good.
I think Lindsay just has trouble fully articulating her thoughts which draws criticism (valid or not) I love her reactions they are genuine and I like Carson reliving our favorite moments from our multiple times watching and going back for our favorite parts.
I dont know why naruto and sasuke keep saying their bestfriends when they never were. They literally barely put up with eachother as teammates

One thing I hate about Naruto is the damn flash backs. I mean, yeah, sure, they help with the story and show us the perspective of a character. But come on bruh! Why does it have to be 23 minutes of nothing but flash backs???

Yeah they suck. But some were necessary. You gotta keep in mind that this show used to be aired weekly. So they needed to recap some stuff for the viewers to remember. Buuuuuttt some flashbacks were completely unnecessary

lol sasuke becomes one of the most evil characters funnily enough, itachi was always less evil than him.
so ... who defeated pain? who protected the kazekage? who saved the hidden leaf? who almost single handedly ended the first phase of the war? who used talk-no-jutsu and convinced the evil characters to turn good.
Itachi wasnât bad, he prevented an entire war(plus it was itachis plan for sasuke to kill him from the start, AND he was sick(not at full strength)). Deidara rage quit(killed himself), orochimaru was weak(sasuke admitted that if orochimaru was at full strength he wouldnât have hade a chance(btw naruto was the one who weakened him)). And yeah he killed donzo(the one good thing he did). Sasuke couldnât even defeat 1 of the weakest Akatski yet Naruto already killed 2. Kakuzu and pain. Even Shikamaru already disarmed Hidan. Naruto gets all the glory cause Naruto actually defeated his enemies, while sasuke kept escapingđ€Łđ. He did t even get truly powerful until he got Itachis eyes

yeah, leaving sasuke alive was def a little selfish bc it was his brother, and itachi admitted as such. i dont think its evil. he did it so that sasuke would get stronger and judge him and kill him and make him pay for killing the uchiha, even though he did it on orders to protect the shinbi world and leaf.
like i dont get why when it comes to itachi everyone only remember the fact that people who had nothing to do with the situation died. way more people would've died otherwise. he made an impossible decision that was hell for him. instead of praising him for being a true shinobi and realizing that everyone in the uchiha would've died anyway (danzo says this so many times), everyne just shits on him.

I really hate that kishimoto focused so much on naruto and sasuke. He made Sasuke too evil and Naruto too naive, I really hate that.
There is a LOT I wish kishimoto did differently with naruto, but that's to be expected with a show that's like 1000 episodes long, theres bound to be some meh parts. The good seems to outweigh the meh at least, so you gotta take the good with the crappy. Boruto on the other hand is just one giant crap fest, and the last main arc of shippuden

It's been happening at this point for almost 500 episodes it's already been built up. We didn't need no damn flashbacks.
