You go with the Raptor if you need a truck and have to give up your sports car. You go with the twins if you need a truck and don't care about having a sports car.
@BrianEugeneLee-FJCruiser I get your point, but all diesels these days are compromised by emissions. 2.7 does a great job of feeling like a diesel without those issues imo.

Personally for a daily driver I would choose the Raptor. And $10k cheaper is a bonus.

Not even driven off road??? You can't declare a winner Ben. That said, things I have been saying it since the Ranger Raptor came out. 1) Needs the option of a sunroof. Some people want one. Me. It is your top of the line Ranger. 2) Rear seat HVAC. It was available in the Explorer in the 90's. It should be available 30 years later in the top of the line Ranger. Imagine getting in your buddies truck in the desert and having to wait 30 minutes for the back seat to cool down. Or worse, your dog is in the back seat. Or a kid. C'mon Ford. Do better. 3) Heated and Cooled front seats. Again, it's your best Ranger. This option has been around for how many decades now?
You don't need a sun roof they leak and besides the integrity of the roof is compromised.
@yankeetraveler1118 I just traded in my 6-Inch lifted 2021 F-150 Lariat for a Ranger Raptor that I ordered last year which finally came in. Since I ordered it, I didn't like that fact that it didn't have a moonroof as an option or standard. Right before I bought it I realized that it didn't have cooled seats. And until I read your comment, I didn't know that I didn't have rear HVAC vents! I don't sit in the back seat, and neither does anyone else for that matter, but the lack of a moonroof and cooled seats sucks for a vehicle that's almost $60K. Hopefully it'll get me more than the 11 MPG I was getting with the F-150..

First off,they are both great vehicles. However the Ranger is a much better truck. Higher tow rating, high cargo capacity, no big tire taking up valuable room in the bed, also blocking the rear view. For off road use, we don't know. No one has done a true side by side off road test. All speculation.for now. The GM has one inch one more ground clearance, but a big turning radius. In tight trails would it mean K turns? Again no side by side off road testing done?

Baby raptor all day, timeless pick up truck style with some subtle rally hints, the canyon looks cool but will eventually look ugly over time, raptor will not
How thorough are you on your reviews? All of the raptors are coming with 50+ psi in the tires from the factory which is much higher than they should be at and will make a big difference in the ride comparison. Maybe you should check that and try again.

You’re obviously biased. You’re not comparing them off-road. And you said the canyon is heavier, which it is not, which erodes your credibility
That engine in the Jimmy is a no for me but it should be great up at higher altitudes

I think at this level it comes down to brand loyalty, both are evenly capable trucks, some off-road advantage to the Canyon but that’s it.
no offroading demo...this is a bad review.
The thing with Ford right now is reliability. I know all OEM's have recalls. But when you've lead the league in recalls for the past what, three years. And second again this year. That's what worries me. Has far as the four cylinder goes. I think it's basic. Take care of it. Changed the oil. It can last. I had a 1998 Chevy Cavalier that had 245,000 miles on it when I got rid of it. And it was still running fine, when I got rid of it. We had bought a new vehicle at the time and didn't need three vehicles. The AC quit working. The two things I had to replace was the alternator and starter one time. I mean other than things that are going to go out. Brakes, battery, tires etc.etc. I've always used Mobil 1 synthetic oil. For me it's better than the synthetic blend. Four cylinders vehicles can last. I have a 2005 Ford Escape right now that has 218,200. Yeah it's a V6. But it still runs fine. It needs a O2 sensor and some brakes. Again change the oil, fix something right away if the engine light comes on or if you hear something. Don't let it go until it gets worse. Fix it ASAP.

The Raptor is far more powerful. I like the Canyon, but I stayed with the Ford. I prefer the motor reliability of the Ford.
No I don’t think ford make reliability vehicles maybe the 5.0 I still take 3.0 from Chevy
@@oc7677 What are you basing your statement on.. A ford product from the 90's?! I keep a Ford vehicle.. Just purchased my 2024 Ranger Raptor that I ordered last year. I traded in my 2021 F-150 Lariat 3.5 V-6 Eco-Boost. I have a 2020 Ford Explorer ST 3.0 V-6 Eco-Boost, with a similar powertrain as the Ranger Raptor. I have owned a 2019 Explorer Sport 3.5 V-6 Eco-Boost and a 2017 Fusion Sport 2.7 V-6 EcoBoost. The performance of those twin turbo charged V-6's are nothing to play with. If they weren't reliable engines, I would NOT keep investing my hard earned dollars into Ford products!

Did you know there’s a diesel version for the Ranger Raptor?
If there is a car model that's sold in the US and is also sold globally then it will almost definitely have a diesel version (ICE cars of course). For example :ranger raptor, land criser, defender, grenadier.
Ranger Raptor is underwhelming. Other than having 400+hp, there is no real advantage against the GM twins. GM already had lockers and the Bison package in the last gen before Ranger and only improved with bigger tires, hydraulic bumpstops, and underbody cams. Not to mention, both Colorado and Canyon look more aggressive and stand out more than Ranger. The Canyon is much more masculine.
Having coil springs, watts link, live valve fox shocks are some of tge stuff the rr is better than the competition. It drives almost like a car on the road and is very comfortable offroad.
Of course it would be much better, with some bigger, better stanced tires and more underbody protection.
