I was raised on and around farms with 1210, 1212, 1410, 1412. Never seemed to have problems with them except for cold start in freezing weather.

David Browns don't age well as the rust shows up more on the white tinwork. They have to be kept indoors as much as possible to keep them right. I've a DB 995 here and some serious hours up on it.
You say engines are indestructible, what models, i was to buy a 1200,but was severely warned not to.crank problems.
A number of people who sell used David Brown parts have told me that they hardly ever sell engine parts, even so, it is true that no engine can go on forever.
3 cylinder david brown engines were the best cus they had a 5 bearing crankshaft, 900 series such as 990/ 995 /6 are ok , don't touch 1200 series
@@TonyBrassington I love the DBs,have 2,a 990 &1490 that I must tidy up a bit,but people around here keep on about the 3 bearing crank,I've now been told the 885 best 3 cycl ever made and has 4 bearing crank,so on the look out,really like your videos.

Do not send money to this man for parts you will not get them be very careful dealing with him my advice is go somewhere else
Stay away from him he is a criminal sent him a 110 euro for parts from Ireland never got them
