Mas mainam mag research at kmuha ng 2nd/3rd/4th opinion when it comes to your health. Pag aralan, know the pros and cons. Take charge of your health.
Kahit doctors at experts ay magkakaiba din ang opinion - there are doctors na advocate ng keto / LowCarb at meron ding hindi advocate. Hear them both.
Ang tanong - would you rather be taking medications your entire life, or would you rather change your way of eating to combat a disease?
If diabetes (Type 2) truly is irreversible, at hanggang ngayon ay walang cure - ano ang dapat piliin sa dalawang options na available (a or b): A) medication w/ carbohydrates +exercise; or B) Keto/LowCarb without medication?
Alin ang lesser evil? Alin ang healthier alternative? Alin ang mas mababa ang mortality rate?
Maybe meron pang option C/D/E or maybe combination ng mga options, pero bottomline ano ang most helpful para sayo. You will still be the one to decide.

I have type 2 diabetes and I’ve been able to manage it through intermittent fasting and a thoughtful choice of foods. I do not drink anything but water, tea or black coffee; and avoid juices. Instead, I save it for eating fruits where I can get my sugar and fiber. My usual diet is composed of fish, chicken (no skin), vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds. I eat minimal rice, but when i do, I eat brown. I eat sweet potato in place of rice more of than not. I’ve not had issues with my diabetes ever since I changed my lifestyle, and my glycemic index does not fluctuate.
I totally agree with everything Doc Dex just said. I don’t understand how irresponsible some people can be about advice they give when each and every person can respond to something differently.

I stop eating in KFC, Mcdo etc in short I stopped eating Junk, refine sugar, white bread, unhealthy fatty foods. My blood sugar is stable at the moment, blood pressure is good👍 I armed myself with lots of knowledge about my health.

I tried it for 3 months pre-pandemic based on my doctor's recommendation and we were both surprised to see improved blood test results. My period also became regular. Nakakasawa na nga. They blame carbs for everything (hpn, renal disease etc). Kaya nga meron tayong tinatawag na balanced diet. Wag natin lahatin ang carbs. True na too much sugar is bad for you. Ang rice magiging glucose, as well as fruits, kaya nga kahit ito ay dapat ding ilimit. Kung sa fats naman, totoong masama ang fats pag nasobrahan. Pero we still need fats. Kaya nga importante na ang sources ng fats natin sa diet ay yung mga unsaturated fats na galing sa avocado and plant oils. That's why it's always important to know your food at alamin ang mas magandang sources ng mga essential nutrients. Always remember na too much of anything will always be bad, carbs man yan, fats or protein. Balanced diet with exercise parin. Thank you doc!!!

I’ve watched Aileen’s YT videos for the past 2 years and same recommendations from Dr Berg, she advocates to eat more vegetables (6-8 cups a day) but not the starchy ones, no grains, no veg oil. It’s sad that only her short tiktok videos were featured eating lechon or fried chicken but I know she was having her meal sa carinderia that time so less option to do clean keto ofcourse.
I tried dirty low carb with Intermittent Fasting for 3 months pre-pandemic based on my doctor’s recommendation (he’s from Medical City Pasig) and all my medical test results have improved and for the 1st time in 15 years, my period went regular (Stopped taking Metformin).
Now, because of work from home and stress, I started eating rice 😅 but still follow Intermittent Fasting on workdays, with pizza, milktea and desserts sometimes on weekend. My weight is back to the old measurement but maybe because of Intermittent Fasting and no vegetable oil and inflamatory ingredients like Soy & wheat, I continue to feel better and happier (which for me is the most important). I have not got back to my doctor because Im not yet vaccinated but my blood pressure so far is normal compared before and I don’t feel palpitation or uncomfortable symptoms, so I hope everything is working good in the inside (currently following average of 200g carbs a day instead of their recommended low carb 20-50g/day).
This is an interesting topic and I’ve watched several videos for the past 2 years about this new way of eating. Good to have a deep dive review since our bodies are different and if you have existing illness, better research muna.

Agree po ako sa topic nyo. I tried low carb for 2 mos to lower my blood sugar and naging ok nman po ang result. But my cholesterol went up so now I need to take statin . My Doctor said low carb is not sustainable and in long term is not beneficial to your body.
Now, I do plant base diet, low fat and exercise. I do eat carbs but the healthy options and moderation is the key.
Thank you po sa channel nyo and keep educating our Kababayans.

because that is the identity of the fad diet. mabilis magpa lose ng weight. when you eat carbohydrates, you should not binge eat. mayroon talagang dapat measurement nyan. hindi pwedeng sobrang dami. add pa natin dito na kung hindi ka nageexercise, wala talagang mangyayari. tandaan din na ang mga bagay na pinaghihirapan, mas worth it.

Hi Doc Dex, came from Doc Adam. My cousin tried LCIF, and now he is on the lighter side of the scale however it also caused his mental health, he always looks in the mirror to check his self, told him it might be BDD already. Diet might work, but it aint sustainable.

Thank you so much Doc. Veri informative! NaDiagnosed ako mg type 2 diabetes at hypertension at the age of 22.
