I gotta remember to put a hot water jar on top of my plates
Thanks Erick. I'm just getting started with growing and I have had this problem. I appreciate that you share.
That's an awsom plate man
I put mine in a stainless steel sterilization canister with lid and add a few anhydrous packets that can be cooked to reuse them. No droplets in about a day or two. I also put them in skinny mushroom grow bags and seal them to keep the plates clean after inoculated.
Have you considered using UV as an extra precaution to sterilize after pourin your agars?
Is there a way, to get condensation out of my agar containers.
Would it make sense to use a blank/empty top. And create canisters in pvc. with a feed hole to remove the bottom cartridge.?
Nice trick! Thanks for your vids! 👍
Thank you for your video. I am interested in your canner mods. For canning I need to be at 11pounds of pressures which converts to 240 degrees or greater. At time 1:08 your PID shows a temperature of 221 with s set point of 245. Was your pot in the process of coming up to temperature? Do you know what your pressure gauge reads when you get up to 240 degrees? Thank you for your time and effort.
Hey man what’s your thoughts on adulterating the agar with propylene glycol to inhibit bacteria, suppress yeasts and equalize hydration?
hey man, im trying to build a flow hood, im not really understanding how to figure out the size of fan i need for a filter, if i show you a filter or give you the specs would you be able to tell me what size blower i would need
Why have that pid? What’s the purpose of that? I don’t know about those!
Put an extra dish on the top of the pile 😊
My condisation is happening after cool down ... Do i need more agar?
Hi mushroom heads, what is going to happen with that water on the aggar now?
What’s the best way to store the Agar?
How long can you keep the agar Petri dishes? After 2 weeks, mine start to contaminate..any way to get 100% contam free agar Petri dishes? Thanks
What temperature should one store their inoculated Agar Plates in?
The short answer is it really depends on the bacteria and when and why you want to “use” the bacteria. When you inoculate a plate you’re hoping that the bacteria grows and goes about it’s life cycle. If you’re trying to produce a protein product such as a gfp or luciferase I recommend looking up the temp that this protein is best produced at and store them at the temperature.
Where do you get those filters for the flow hood?
PID looks like the ghost trap from ghostbusters. 👻
LMAO! 😂 It totally does!
Hey you still doing the course
ily
Why do you need that box? Can’t you just plug that into a regular plug and use it like a stovetop?
