Depends on what you're making...in certain recipes measurements are more crucial than others
Baking I measure for the most part, meals, nope! I don't measure if I'm cooking dinner, lunch ect.

The first time we went camping we had a 3yr old and a four month old. I would not have agreed to it but it was with good friends that were very seasoned campers with kids/babies. They had all the equipment. We just brought blow up mattresses and a very low to the ground bassinet that we already had for the baby. We had a great time and ended buying our own equipment. We went tent camping several times a year for the next 20 years. We haven’t gone for a couple of years since we couldn’t work out campsite availability with everyone’s schedule. We have great family memories of camping.

Such a fun Saturday morning! The muffins sound so yummy! A funny story... my husband got a tent for us to have a family camping trip... well, I'd loved camping as a child, so I agreed to go and have fun. My daughter was 10 months old and was an easy baby. Until that night... she cried off and on all night. She woke with her first 2 teeth. 😁
❤❤❤❤❤ the closer to empty my nonstick spray cans get, the more upright I have to hold the cans. I usually get it all lol. You have to hold the pans up too. Love your style!
Pecan pie is my ABSOLUTE favorite. I use my mom's recipe that she passed down. She always mixed her pecans in with the filling and then dumped it into the crust. I love watching you. I operate the same way. I feel like I'm just hanging out with a friend.

Love your content, you Crack me up! Ugh, dishes. We are selling our house and moving across the states. In the meantime, we have packed all our kitchen stuff and are using the smaller dishes from the camper. That & paper for less washing since we have to clean soon as we are done to allow a potential walk through. I just keep reminding myself that I'm looking forward to the adventure 😀

So excited that you finally started using your Cutco. I sold them right after I graduated high school (in 1997) and I still use them all the time... Keep forgetting to send my bread slicer (the knife you were using on the lettuce) back to Cutco for a replacement (part of the handle melted when someone put it inside a hot roaster) I still use it all the time with half a melted handle... LOL.

2:46 my sister and I use to make tacos for the high school kids in our town on Tuesdays. That is the exact knife I used to shred the lettuce. Love it so much!

I put butter out to soften when my daughter was little. I came back later to make whatever it was I was making and there was just a butter wrapper. My daughter ate the entire stick of just butter.

In Minnesota where I grew up the grinder we had was called the taco meat grinder. it had ham and swiss and taco meat and colby cheese with lettuce and hot sauce and a white sauce which I don't remember what that was made out of.

I love that you use cinnamon. I do too. And a bit of nutmeg (& sometimes all spice). Not always in the all spice. But for sure, the touch of nutmeg. Really makes the cinnamon pop.

Publix sub hack! Ask for the veggies on the side. They will give you a bag or bags of all the toppings that you can add later. Usually they give me enough that I can make 2 salads with the extras! Very generous!
For my banana muffins, I put in less flour and then add some oats. I don’t like nuts in mine so the oats add some texture. I used to make batches and freeze then nuke a couple and eat on the way to work each morning. Delicious. ❤

Hey Y’all: Tip on appliance shopping. Find an appliance outlet. They sell appliances that people ordered and never took delivery or it may have some cosmetic damage, but warranty still there. You can save a boatload on major appliances. I wish I knew this earlier in life.

I always took my babies camping but we also went with friends that had little bit older kids and they took my kids to the playground and on walks or played games with them. And the other mother took over baby care because she was missing hers been that size so I got to sit back and enjoy my time.
My husband and i are full time rv'ers, and yes, dishes everyday....i do miss a dishwasher for sure!!😊

Yep from MA. We called them grinders. When we moved to Fla they called them Hoagies and now I’m hungry.
All of the cooks in my family our the chopped pecans into the mixture as you did then pour into the pie shell. You did correctly.
I make muffins a lot instead of the bread. It's easier for kids to hold and easier for lunches. We used to camp a lot and fish. Sometimes take our horse's 🐎 It was a lot of fun but didn't have kids to look after as much. Meredith is eating healthy. She's so cute. 💖🦩💖

Kim you gotta try Wham Bam pie crust it’s one of the best pie crusts I’ve had! It takes literally a minute to throw together and you just spread it out with your hand into the pie dish. It’s so flakey and delicious.

Year's ago Crisco is what we used. I've actually never used butter. To me, it does make it a bit more flaky, but I have tasted the crust with butter, I believe it's a a bit more flavorful, the color of the crust is darker with butter too. OMGOODNESS Kim, a quick story, lol. Year's ago I made pecan pie using the recipe from that real southern man on tv. Remember him, he used cayenne pepper in everything he cooked! His accent was so very southern..lol Anyway, I made 4 or 6 pies to take to my boy friends sister's house for Thanksgiving. I was so proud of these beautiful looking pie! Well, as we all dished up most everyone chose a slice of my pie, we all took a bite.....SCREAMS AND LAUGHTER WAS HEARD THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE, It tasted like hot peppers and the flavor of all the pies were a hot mess, and unfortunately they all had to be tossed. This was my first impression too...like I wanted to do something so thoughtful. Welllllll, needless to say, I wasn't going to make that pie again! Lol
