- 'Open The Door To Creativity' is the welcome statement on the doors of the IBIS Styles Hotel in Paignton! It certainly is a very easy place to feel creative and has lots of playful creativity in the beach and seashore themed decor.
In this video I will show you around the hotel. I feature the seaview bedroom where I stayed, the gym, the restaurant and breakfast and I answer a few questions that you may have about the hotel, based on my research online.

Booking is my first point of call for most trips away. They do have a best price commitment whereby they will meet anyother price that you may find from somewhere else. Its worth checking out in the future.
Its good to see that they don't charge you extra for traveling as a single, shame Booking didnt take this into account.
Can't say I liked the shower being quite so open. Our complaints are mainly to do with the bathroom. Its rare these days to turn on the shower without getting drenched with cold water 🤣🤣🤣. You've just reminded me of my first ever shower a rubber tube that you pushed over the taps in the bath, those were the days!!
Normally booking gives you a good inventory, I always take a multi-point extension lead though.
Not sure whether we would have booked here knowing there would be the fair in front. Maybe it closes early. But it did look very nice (apart from the passageway carpets!!)

It looks like a nice place to stay - love the wave theme on the carpet but I agree, water splashing out of the shower is not good, especially if you have your fresh clothea nearby. I kind of hate it when hotels punish people for being a solo traveler. Technically you would be using less resources - less water, less towels used, so they shouldn't charge more for one. Great review, Louise!
And yes! Pancake machines are awesome! 😊

Thanks Jesse!! It’s a lovely hotel and so comfortable! I was really impressed with the wifi! It’s super fast! A 10 minute vídeo takes me a couple of hours to upload at home. There it took just minutes.

That was a great hotel review, breakfast looked good. It's a shame solo travellers are charged for occupying double rooms. I've experienced this on my last few holidays but the single rooms on offer look very small in most hotels sometimes without a balcony so would rather pay the extra. 😊

Thank you Faith! Ah! The breakfast was so good! I hadn’t seen a pancake machine before either. Such a mess free way to make pancakes and very satisfying to watch (and eat 😋)
