- Bambino Plus: How to steam your milk to create a microfoam ideal for latte art (full video/unedited)?
Someone requested how I steam my milk so here's a full video and unedited version from my previous quick video. You need to see the milk spinning and volume increase, hear the hissing sound and feel the milk jug temperature with your hands (if I can't touch the milk jug for 3 seconds, it is ready, around 60-65°C). Btw, Bambino+ has auto purging (no steam, just hot water).
After using the Picopresso for a year and frothing my milk with a French press, I finally bought a Bambino Plus, just after Christmas. I’ve watched dozens and dozens of videos on how to steam milk manually, but this is the only one that’s showed me how to do it successfully. Not all steam wands are the same, so learning how to do it with the Bambino was a big help. Thank you 👍
Thank you for watching!
What a good video. You explained all without a single word.
Thanks man, this is the only video that actually helped me.
FFS ... I thought the wand had to be down for the steam to come out!!! I've never been able to get the swirl because of the angle but dammit i think this will work!!!!
Love my black truffle Bambino Plus and Midnight Niche Zero. I'm practicing my milk but hate waste so it's slow progress! Thank you. Not many people really show a good angle on how they're holding the rather large pitcher on the rather short steam wand... figured out not to really tilt the pitcher except slightly to the side like you did and it seems to have brought me to very likeable results regularly ( I don't know if it's repeatable yet haha) from kind of struggling with too many bubbles and stuff. Glad to see somebody else's doing this so I'm going to stick with this position for a bit
Thank you for watching!
You can use a glass mug and some food colouring in water to practice.
Finally a good video! Thank you!
nicely done!
Thank you! Cheers!
Al fin entendi como hacer mi leche, nunca me quedaba asi 🙏🏼
Are u using whole milk in the video? Would 2% milk work? Thanks, excellent video!
Full cream fresh milk
Plz l want to know how to make temperature of Water and about that 2 colour of display red colour and Down one and how to set this machine temperature for latte and cappuccino
Looks great! I got my bambino today, but have no milk jug. Can I use something else instead to froth the milk? Also is it worth getting the official Sage jug with the temperature setting built in? Thanks
When you buy a Bambino Plus, it comes with the milk jug. You can usr any milk jug but for automatic milk steaming, you need the milk jug from Breville.
@@HomeBaristaCorner Excellent videos! You really demo this well! According to coffee kev's blogs you can use any jug for the automatic milk steaming. As long as it makes a good connection with the temperature sensor. However I haven't tried this myself .....
For auto steaming, if you're using another milk jug, just make sure it is the same size. There's a difference when steaming the same amount of milk with smaller versus bigger milk jug. Texture will be different. Also Breville jug has indicator for minimum and maximum amount you can steam.
Is it leaking water in the milk while steaming it ? Bc i have an Ascaso and it water a lot my drink and i was thinking of buying a bambino , i didnt saw any vidéo saying that it was a problem with the Bambino. But now that i saw you doing the same thing i have to do with my Aascaso before steaming, having to " purge" the water first, i have doubt..
The first few seconds will be more condense water. Purge it before start steaming. A practice for all espresso machine.
@@HomeBaristaCorner thanks for your reply
But precisly.. i do purge before steaming and i get water in the milk anyway. I was wondering if the bambino have the same issue
@@fannyboni472I don't have any issue so far. The Bambino Plus has more steaming power than the regular Bambino. That's more important to me when buying espresso machine.
Have you used the auto milk feature? So far it hasn't made my Bambino silky. If not, a lot of foam for cappuccinos...

automilk feature for lazy morning, manual for feeling ambitious.
@@chinchilla505 Yes this! 🙂
what heat and froth setting are you using?
Steam settings will take effect only for automatic steaming. For this video, I'm steaming manually so the settings will not take effect. I have control of froth and milk temperature.
@@HomeBaristaCorner Thanks!
@@koreandevil604 thank you for watching!
