    Also are you using the pre-set double cup setting when pulling the shot? Or are you doing a custom timed shot?

    On this single shot you did is that with the factory single shot setting or did you manually program ?

    Hi sir, would it matter if i increase or use the lowest temperature in making the cappucino froth?

  • @Presso99
    @Presso99 Před 2 lety +7

    This is a pretty decent good machine. Very compact and it comes with all the things you need for making a decent espresso and frothing capabilities. However, one thing i want to stress that the power supply who supplied to the heater, froth and solenoid is not reliable. Mine was replaced once just before 1 year. I also heard about another one who is also facing the same issue. Do not over run this machine, let it cool down as much as possible and do not do back to back too many times at the same time.

    If I make a black coffee like that it would be cold or lukewarm. Perhaps the warm milk mitigates that problem. But I wonder how you get hot espresso this way?

      There is a bunch of techniques you have to master for regular filters: grind size, amount, tamping correctly. You also might have to adjust per coffee type as well as age of bean.

      Automatic on the bambino plus can’t produce good micro foam for latte art. You need to carefully control air induction at the beginning and then whirlpool it until heated manually for best results.

    Hello, I currently have the same machine as you and i'm still very new to making coffee. Is it okay if i ask how long your extraction time is for the single shot? I'm still struggling setting my machine up -_-

    • @EstebanHernandez-hs6zl
      @EstebanHernandez-hs6zl  Před 2 lety +1

      Should be at least 20-30 secs

    • @Chelovik_NZ
      @Chelovik_NZ Před 2 lety +1

      The Bambino comes with a double-floor extraction cup. It isn't that important to get the tamper perfect, as the cup itself will control the pressure. The machine is set to 20sec for small, 30sec for double shot. Leave it at this.
      Just make sure you clean the cup afterwards by pouring water through the empty cup to remove the remains. And periodically clean by soaking in Citric acid (1tsp to 1 cup water)

      @@Chelovik_NZjust to hijack this thread. I'm waiting for a grinder to arrive, in the mean time I'm just using some preground stuff to get by and learn. I'm using the double wall cup but the yield amount doesn't seem too great for a double. I'm weighing out 18g on the scale before leveling and tamping. Any pointers?

      @@ItzD3fW1sH Hi ... I didn't see your reply until just now, so I hope this helps still ... Make sure if you are using pre-ground beans to buy Espresso Grind only ... Filter grind is too course. You shouldn't need to tamper too tightly with the double-floor cup, otherwise it will pour out tasting over extracted. But I would recommend buying a grinder, and setting it near the fine grind setting (not too fine however ... experiment a little)

    How do you get such a long (and good!) run time? I have a Bambino Plus and a Baratza Virtuoso grinder. Ground very fine, I get a good 1:2 ratio (18 gm in, 36 gm out), but my run times are ~15 seconds and things don't taste so good.

    • @bcramer0515
      @bcramer0515 Před 2 lety +3

      Sounds like it's running too fast. If your grind is as fine as it can be, it may be your tamping?

    I have Bambino for our holiday home and love it. We've got a more serious machine for our own home and the coffee is very comparable.
    However, what I would say is you don't need to fanny about weighing coffee beans, using the Razor, polisher, etc. Just learn to judge amounts, tamping pressure and polish with the tamper. Very easy and quick. Same results, same taste.
