very epic morgan. i will watch this later but im in zoom :)
I’m watching this while in class sipping my Nescafé instant coffee so epic indeed
What kind of coffee/ bean grinder do you have?
I loled at the water BUT hear me out.. I thought that by the time the tea was ready the cup would be filled up appropriately and good to go. That's just my theory I need a tea maker to review that! Anyhow, I really enjoy your videos!!
@@djnc9488 It's a Rancilio Rocky Coffee Grinder (doserless) - A really good grinder - I have the Rancilio Rocky Coffee Grinder (doser) but sometimes wish I'd bought the doserless instead.
@@swingmanic Can't you mod the grinder to become doserless?
The steam wand peeing hot water is something I can’t get out of my head 😂
Right?! My brain immediately went to that meme of "it burns when I pee" and I couldn't stop laughing!
I think it’s for making American coffee?
@@May_Y01 Café Americano.
@@2009polostar That is what it’ for, but it’s strange that they wouldn’t make it a faster flow rate. Or perhaps a wider stream for greater volume.
😂😂😂
morgan's videos are my therapy outside of therapy. she's so enthusiastic but somehow calming and soothing at the same time and you can tell she really enjoys what she does. always puts a smile on my face :)
I pushed the hot water button on accident as I was showing my husband how to make an espresso shot. We both stared in mild annoyance and amusement as the Breville peed on our floor. 😂
I bought this bad boy based on this video, thank you so much! I was very nervous because I’m a newbie and a beginner but I love a good pull and a nice espresso so I didn’t want to waste my money on something that was going to disappoint me. I was unbelievably hesitant… but I trust you and your judgement and got this little bad boy and I am SO impressed. Love my little guy. Ended up buying one as a joint gift for my friend for her birthday. Thank you so much
Yay, i'm so glad you love it too!!
I don’t even drink coffee but here I am watching this video at 2 in the morning
Me too 🤦🏻♀️🤣🤣🤣
I love this! The only thing I’d add is that as you use the machine more and more, it becomes easier to put the portafilter into the machine without death gripping the machine.
Thank god, I just got this machine and had to put the machine in a sleeper hold just to lock the portafilter😂
same, good info, thanks!
@@Sean-si1qk I'm just imagining you putting this poor espresso machine in a sleeper hold with an Italian accent saying, "Now we can do this the easy way or the hard way!" BTW,did it get easier? I have arthritis and I can't afford to do the death grip sleeper hold thing. Lol.
Agreed! I bought this machine and after a few uses it really loosened up thankfully!! I also use the hot water feature for making matcha lattes as it saves having to boil the kettle when I only need a small amount of hot water! The steamer on this is also awesome!!! I had a cheaper machine previous to this and the bambino one is far superior!!
I’m still using my machine today and it is wonderful. The backsplash has gotta a bit grimmy and rusty with time but that’s more due to my lack of cleaning.
I like Morgan because she just loves coffee and is not preachy or mean spirited like many people I have run into in the hobby. Her personality is just so refreshing.
I absolutely love how clear and articulate your enunciation and diction is. That, coupled with your fulsome voice and pleasant demeanor is what makes your CZcams channel wildly successful. I have subscribed!
Nice vid.
The burning milk around the steam wand is an issue even with the Infuser, a bigger model with much more power and a longer wand. I quickly learned to only use a wet towel so when I purge it and wipe it is already clean. Just be careful because a wet towel will get hot very fast. Never let the milk accumulate, bacteria, you know, and never wipe it with an abrasive sponge or the chrome will deteriorate and the milk will stick easily. Other tip, always lift the protective plastic on the wand and clean under it because the milk gets there too.
You can get Delonghi Dedica Arte, which has insulated steam wand. No burning there
gee, get a full automatic if you can’t clean it manually, that’s the way with all manual machines,
@@sega62s who told you I can't clean? I just explained how to do it properly. I also worked in coffee shops so I know how to manage.
@@REMY.C.its not a issue...its the way its made
That 3 seconds to get a pull from the machine is actually pretty amazing. I like making my cup in the morning, but some morning I just want a quick tasty drink for a busy day. Glad to see you are still creating videos!
You have the machine? I've read some reviews on Sonoma Williams about how the boilers burn out several months in.
@@LynxStarAuto Sadly no, I was speaking of how much I would appreciate the quick espresso if I had it. I have something that currently takes 15 mins to warm up. Not exactly that quick cup I really would like when in a rush. Sorry for not being able to provide any insight.
Just got one of these for my gf for Christmas. Had a little bit of a budget, but I liked the look of the steam wand in comparison to some others in this price range, and I looked at the overall reviews online before I made the purchase. Your review just made me feel a lot better about purchasing it. And just as a comment on your presentation and production: great job! Clean, concise and upbeat. Well done!
I was a barista for a few year when I was younger and I really appreciate your thorough and beautiful review.
Loved how concise and educational this video is! The wife and I were thinking of getting this instead of opening our vertuo 😆 you helped give more insight to this. Many thanks!
I love it when you run /slide / flail your arms onto the scene. makes me chuckle and cheers me up for the day
I bought this machine last year. In combination with a good grinder it's really good. After drinking the coffee I could not tell the difference to higher priced machines. Two thumbs up.
Just got this machine and am looking for a good grinder. Any recommendations?
@@colleennicole7835 I combined it with the Sage/Breville Grinder Pro and get really excellent results.
Breville has a crazy sale on their site and I was able to get it for basically $100 off which definitely made me buy it. Any tips to keep it maintained if I’m a regular coffee drinker?
@@Milkmancarti It is very easy. Make sure you always use the mineral filters. (Should be changed every six weeks) Wipe the steam wand and let a little bit of steam out after every use., so that the holes don't get clocked up with milk residue. Compared to other machines, this one is really easy to clean and maintain.
The manual is a flaw! I didn’t even find their videos as valuable as your video! Thank you for this!! I love my bambino!
man I got rehired as a barista at my cafe sunday, so glad to back, really missed it.
I just got this machine last week. I find the portafilter gets easier to lock and remove after the first few days. My machine doesn't move around at all now. Great video!
Thank you so much for this review! I remember your tiktoks from when you were a barista! I’ve been looking into alchemies for weeks and this video convinced me to head to the store today finally lol. So excited. Thanks Morgan!
def recently became obsessed with getting an espresso machine and you are by far the easiest to relate to... super wholesome and know what you are doing and transparent at the same time keep up the good content! and thanks for trying affordable options
I have had a number of the dual boiler breville machines and still have one at home, this looks like a nice easy compact version for my shack that we are building, thanks for the video! Will most likely purchase one if my local appliance place sells them!
This video was very well done. Your mic is also great, audio quality was awesome. Soft background music was a great touch. ☕️
I’ve been trying to learn more about coffee for my future since I’ve always loved it, so I’m really happy I found your channel! Very informative and relaxing! Thx for your content.
Thank you - you are a professional who knows that the rest of us aren't. You also have a quirky sense of humour, which makes your videos (including the shorts)that much more enjoyable.
I bought this machine 6 months ago and it rocks!!!! Highly recommend. Thank you for the honest review and for recommending this product! I agree, it’s great!
Hi, how’s your machine? I’m thinking getting one for my mom. 🙏
@@Syd7088 bumping this because i would like to know as well
@@jerlynyeo me too 😬
Hey @ellenvaas7208
I would also be interested in your long term opinion of this machine
I feel bad I haven’t seen these comments! @_modnar_ we still love it. Truly. We use it multiple times a day without issue. We have had no complaints with it. It works great! Can’t rave about it enough!!!
This machine is really, really insane value at $300. The Gaggia classic that is the default recommendation has a higher ceiling of quality with modifications, but will clock in at double the price. Stock for stock, this is THE starter machine to get, especially if you swap in non-pressurized baskets
I never thought I would enjoy watching someone brewing coffee as much as you enjoy making it.
Because of this video my hubby bought me this expresso for Christmas. Best thing ever . Thank you .
First review that actually talks about how to brew coffee. I purchased this machine two weeks ago and couldn’t figure it.. the instructions suck.. thanks morgan
My parents are getting me this for Christmas, glad to see it's Morgan-approved!
Appreciate your honest review of all the products you review.
Very helpful review, I’ve since bought one and it’s spot on. I’ve found the hot water function very useful for making tea but ymmv. You could also wet your towel with it I suppose for wand cleaning if you’re not near a sink.
Something that I think is a nice feature is the water tank is removable, so you don't necessarily need clearance at the back to pour water in and you could instead just fill it wherever. I don't own one but am investigating my options, and I think that is a nice quality-of-life convenience!
Something I love which is likely purr coincidence, I have the Bambino and the tank has an extremely satisfying fit under my filtered water dispenser in my LG refrigerator. As if they were made for each other.
That is a nice convenience feature (I have to shuffle my machine forward to add water)
I had the same problem with the portafilter Morgan. The first time was definitely difficult but after a couple coffees it started getting on more smoothly. I thought about putting suction cups on the bottom of the Bambino.
I use the water spout to add hot water while I'm cleaning the portafilter lol. Gives me just enough time to clean and refill for another coffee.
Just bought one for my caravan. We have the Bambino Plus in the house and it’s great. Can’t beat a perfect cuppa when camping / caravanning.
You are by far the easiest coffee channel to watch it’s actually fun 🤩
I have an older model of the breville bambino and I've been overall very happy with how it pulls shots and steams milk!
Omg I got this on sale the other day and it’s my first espresso machine and I’m in lovee perfect for beginners !!
Where did you purchase it ? Thanks 😊
@@launika83 I got it during bed bath and beyonds closing store sale!
SUPER USEFUL review that matches the purpose of this particular espresso machine. Sometimes consumer just need a simple good espresso and milk for the missus and we don’t care about nothing else. Price, sturdy, quality of coffee on default settings done and dusted 👏🏻
MANY THANKS

Thank you for doing a review on The Bambino (non plus)! All the other reviews that say Bambino are in fact the Bambino Plus and it has been frustrating to find anything other than Breville's own demo video about this machine.
Thank you so much for this video. I just got this an I was having issues pulling shots. I think it’s my grind size but you showed me some features I didn’t know it had.
I have the plus version of this machine, and use it daily, for the past 18 months. Its super easy to use, cleans easy, the milk is textured perfectly, but can be stuffed up easily.
Wow, your latte art is outstanding! I keep trying to make a simple heart and I can't do it at all. I've watched video after video too.
fluid liters as opposed to solid liters? ;) gave me a good chuckle that one. Good review, keep it up :)
If I could just use cups and teaspoons I would be so happy 😭😅
One of my most American things I've ever heard 😂
Have we not been taught to do all of our coffee related measuring by weight? Grams! (and no need to specify oz from fl. oz)
In the US we use ounces (oz) which can be referred to as ounces, or fluid ounces, that could be the reason why she referred to liters as "fluid liters" :)
Solid comment!
I got the Bambino not too long ago, you can re program the shots and it also has an auto purge, I'm really loving it
You've really created a fantastic video for a not-so-fantastic product.
Love the enthusiasm here.
Thankyou
Finally, someone reviews the basic Bambino...... every else has reviewed the Plus version........grazie !
Oh I see I was wondering why it looked different than mine.
I’ve have been saving for the Breville BES870XL for about six months now, but I think I might just get this one! Thank you for putting this product on display
Update: just got it
@@domonator1167 Late reply, but thoughts on your Breville Bambino? Debating this VS the similar price manual ones like a Flair.
@@adamthemute i do kinda wish i spent the extra $200 for the one w the grinder built in bc i spent the 300 on the bambino. i like it quite a bit and i don’t feel any need or desire to upgrade but it would have been convenient to have the fresh ground beans bc i’m not gonna go out and buy an expensive grinder too
@@domonator1167 Good to know, I have a nice hand grinder so I'll give this a try, thanks!
Oh wow! Right on time!!! I was looking for an espresso machine for my college dorm to no avail! Subscribed!
Your voice is so smoothing and calming. Love you videos!
So cute, I love Breville so much!
Mine died after 7 months
A good thing to note with this espresso appliance is it does use a pressurized basket. This can be a plus for some and a negative for others. If you dont have a grinder or are a beginner this will def be a plus for you! Im not sure if breville has any mods/ upgrade to a non pressurized though.
Great video morgan! I love seeing your reviews 😊
I literally scrolled through the comments looking for this info, thank you. This isn't even on Breville's website.
I have a Duo Temp Pro, it was delivered with pressurised and non-pressdurised baskets. Maybe it's a bambino thing.
it gets both pressurized & non-pressurized, and both for single and double. So total 4 portafilters
@@paulchatterton1 it seems to vary by region. At least a couple years ago Bambino came with only pressurized and other Brevilles came with both, in the US, while in the UK Bambino also came with both.
My US Bambino in 2023 came with 4 baskets, 2 pressurized and 2 not, single and double of each.
Grazie Morgan. This video is fantastic!! We bought one of these a few days ago and it's perfect for our morning cappuccino. Thank you from Hull, Massachusetts 😊
I bought it today so I'm binging all the videos haha I like the water option for the steamer for quick teas! 😊
It's funny how for some people the steam wand is an after thought and for you it's so important
I have the Bambino Plus and it has worked very well for me. Just to note even if it is obvious, a decent grinder should always be used even if you decide to use the provided pressurized baskets(I recommend getting the unpressurized versions as it will help pull an even better shot). Overall, an awesome smaller machine that gets the job done and helps build confidence for one day pulling the trigger on a more "legit" home setup. Thanks for the great video, Morgan!
do you find you have to bear hug the machine to get the portafilter in and back out?
@@chazzarat It's not that bad. It is just a side effect of the machine being so light. I just push down on the top while I insert the portafilter. Usually goes in much easier after you prime the machine twice. Still gives tension but I don't really mind it.
@@donaldtiffany7313 where can i get the unpressurized version? it is possible to buy a better portafilter and a different wand nose?
Your coffee beans are perfect .... not burnt and oily ... 👍.

The steam wand peeing was hilarious 😂

The color and the pour of this coffee is beautiful
The growth in your channel and release of your coffee is very impressive.
Love the content as always and you always bring your warmth through.
Also, I’m glad you were able to show the latte art is possible with this wand. I could never get my milk to sit on top by I guess that’s just user error 😅
Where did you get the second mug from? It's beautiful!
hey @Morgan! love your work! just curious, what is your experience with the cleaning maintenance part of this machine? tedious?
Thank you for the custom setting tip! Very helpful
"Fluid liters"
Theres a british Imperial Fluid Ounce too
I am amazed by how she easily manages not to spill anything even if the coffee is on the brim and might overflow any second haha
What I normally do is to get ready for a wet kitchen paper towel, the moment frothing is completed, I will use the wet paper to clean it up immediately. Also, I will run a blank froth to purge whatever leftover.
I just bought a Bambino bcuz of your recommendation, can't wait to try it!
I think my coffee senses were tingling because I had the sudden urge to get a coffee right before I saw you unloaded!
Just bought a hugely discounted one of these. It's absolutely amazing for our small kitchen and my girlfriend loves that she can just press 2 buttons to get a pretty nice latte

Hi, how much and where from?
But if an exaggeration there. It takes a long time to get consistently good espresso
@@Professional_CZcams_Commenter but you spend less money and you’re at home :)
@siranderu what is your verdict after 2 years with this machine? Still good, or did anything brake?
For anyone in the UK - this is branded as “Sage”. You can get the Bambino or Bambino “plus”.
I love that the full size Breville tray full pop-up says "Empty Me!" on it!
The hot water feature looking kinda sus, great video, keep it up!
Just wanted to comment...A well done review : ) concise and to the point. Thank you.
At first when someone suggested this model to me I was iffy, and decided to research it further, then I saw Morgan using it, and now I feel 100x more confident it's a good machine for me.
FYI: Mr Clean thin scrubbing pads take off the worse old crusted milk easily.
Hi Morgan! Is the only difference between the Bambino and the Bambino Plus the fact that the Plus has automatic steaming? Also, do you know if there are non-pressurized baskets you can get for the Bambino (assuming it just comes with pressurized)?
It come with both non pressurized and pressurized single and double
Yes, i only use the double basket! Great tip on manual brewing. I use an auto milk frother 😊
tysm morgan!! i've been considering getting a little tiny home machine bc im a barista right now, and i want to practice latte art
What you can do is rub the rim with some water on your finger and then when you go to tighten it the handle it's it slides very easy on and very easy off I have the machine it's awesome
Hi, just trying to find the conversion from solid litres to fluid litres, any help would be appreciated, thanks.
eays, both are based on water, so 1 solid litres is 95% of 1 fluid litre (see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dry_water).
The hot water I have found is awesome for tea. Very hot water. I just got mine for Christmas I love it. Still learning of course. For me it’s working out great

I've had this machine for over a year now and it is a great machine. I did have to replace the first machine after a month as it stopped heating the water when making coffee and the second machine i got needed a software update as it wouldn't get out of it's cleaning cycle program. After these two hiccups i had no other issues. It does make a good coffee once you get to know the machine.
