  • I acquired a Sym Scooter and needed more carry capacity, so I opted for a Givi 45 liter top box and a Shad mounting plate, here is how I fitted it.
    Enjoy the video thanks for subscribing, until next time, Safe Motoring.

    Another well done video. Thanx. After using it a while, is that not too big for the Jet 14? Would a smaller topbox not have been better? Your thoughts would be appreciated.
    Q: how do you get the very left hand Philips screw on the air filter out?

    Hi am from south Africa, where did you buy your bracket? Or was it custom made for your bike since it fits perfectly on your scooter.

    I have Exactly a Sym like yours. I know this is about the Topbox Fitment.
    Do you have any Experience on Severe Vibration on your Sym Jet...it Feels like it Originates from the Belt/Gbox and then runs through to the Front...Regards

    I see the red backside of the top box lid. It looks as if there is somekind of possibility to mount an extra brake light in there. But then there have to be electrical contacts in the bottom of the top box. Is that so, are there versions who have that or is it just a red plastic trim?

    • @SeanBZA
      @SeanBZA Před 4 lety +1

      @@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 I would just use a good plug and socket to connect the lights, probably some small size Anderson connectors, as those are quite small, but still rugged enough for use on a bike. easy to connect together, and add a red brake light to the box, wiring going through the box to a point near the front mount, and out to the one half of the connector so you can remove it.

      It could easily be done but is it worth the effort the bike's brake lights seem to work well enough.

      @vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790  Před 11 měsíci

      I am sorry, but did you watch the whole video, all is explained in this video, to mount the top box's mounting plate requires a separate mounting bracket shown in the video, it is in the brown box and is bought separately, the top box mounting plate comes with the top box that is the plastic unit that the box clips onto.

      Actually Jaque I did sell it, but I do regret it now, I miss the economy and convenience it offered, only had 1500 kilometres on the clock, sometimes one makes crappy decisions, hey. Gary
