This puts into perspective just how insanely good Messi is when you think about how even though some Managers were able to devise tactics to stop him, many were unsuccessful. Some tried man marking him out of the game with a single man, some tried 2 while others tried with 3. It shows how Messi constantly reinvents his game. Put guys on me? Sure. I’ll leave him running the entire field. Stop me from creating? No problem, i’ll train my free kicks. Who else defies tactics like Messi? Nobody!
