Bravo Media sails through the French Riviera in a new season of Below Deck Mediterranean. Sandy may be navigating the “Sirocco” mega yacht again, but she brings a new level of leadership in season four. With high expectations, she has no tolerance for anything short of perfection and will take drastic measures if the crew can’t deliver. Hannah, looking to right her wrongs from last season, is hoping for smooth sailing with a strong interior crew. But will choppy waters threaten her redemption? Mila, classically trained in French culinary cuisine, becomes the first female chef in franchise history, but after a bout with food poisoning right as the first charter guests are set to arrive, she’ll have her work cut out for her. Aesha, coping with a difficult past and using humor to get through tough times, is ready to hit the high seas and get another charter under her belt. Anastasia, born in the Republic of Georgia, has a strong sense of pride in her work ethic which takes her on an unexpected journey. João is looking for a fresh start and is laser focused on being the best Bosun for the crew, but not everyone is on board. Colin, feeling homesick, quickly finds himself on the outs after trying to connect with the new deck crew. Travis after a few mishaps begins to question leadership, however, it’s his “work hard, play hard” mentality that comes into question by the rest of the crew. Jack ruffles feathers when the crew notices he’s putting more effort into pursuing a crew member than his actual job.

@@rlast4698 there is only one who has the last responsibillity and that is Anastasia her boss "the captain" She should have known the high standards that her guests have, she should not have fired all her chefs once the customers are not satisfied. I say this from my own experience, costumers are not... always right, they pick on a fight for nothing and they can be very unreasonable. The captain should always protect her crew for unreasonable customers. Get out of my ship... and never come back should be her phrase...

They hired Mila somehow...a woman who obviously faked her entire resume...Sandy kept her way too long, despite the fact that she cooked like a little kid. Anastasia told them from night one when she helped that she was "not a Chef" and her bf was, and that her Mom had a restaurant.
She busted her butt...as well as performing Stew duties whenever asked.
Of course the menu was limited, she is not a Chef.
That is Sandy's job, to call the company that owns the yacht and get another Chef. Personally I thought she was a rockstar...she filled in when asked without question.
The best hotels never have good food either - they can't compare a top restaurant to a chef on a boat. Douche bag rich guests.
I give all of them much respect working 6 to 7 days a week dealing with most colorful personalities with their clients, PLUS amongst themselves.
And get paid a gross amount to do so. I much would rather appreciate nurses and healthcare workers who do the same but for pennys

Two things I’ve learned watching this show
1) the staff are just as self absorbed as the charter guests
2) there are absolutely no rules about treatment of others. If this was a company with an HR department there would no one left on staff

Captain Sandy made a bad call by making Anastasia the chef! Kudos to her for filling in as chef, for that one charter, after Mila was fired. However, after that, Ben should have been brought in right away to finish the season! Anastasia allowed her ego to come before the best interests of the guests. I don't want spaghetti & meatballs or any of that other crap she cooked on my vacation!!!

I never know whether to side with Hannah or not. On her good days, she's great, but when she has a bad day, she tends to take it out on the people around her ... but I felt so much sympathy for her, dealing with June. It would be so frustrating. I honestly find myself shouting at the screen, "just answer your damn radio!" Even Sandy was getting sick of her towards the end, and being rude to Joao like that, I mean, c'mon.
Anastasia got a big head way too quickly! I liked her at first but she really changed and started thinking she was better than people, including the guest.

I feel you, it's always awkward abroad dealing with the consequences of those types. But I do have to agree with the other person, if you are paying for a private yacht there should be a pretty high level of catering.
It was a friendly attempt at saying the service and quality was below par for the type of experience booked and expected.

Never ever argue with a chef, The captain is the boss, but the chef is king on the ship. No chef means no food, no food means you are screwed. You never find another chef in time and others can't cook like the chef.

@@palex264 Thats the thing that irritates most me about this captain. She want the best quality food on her luxuary ship, so she promotes a simple steward into a master michelin star chef. If you want quality food ( michelin star ) you need a master chef, not a cheap steward. A real master michelin chef are very very... expensive on their pay check, they are very rare to find and guest like these expect a master chef on board, not a steward that cooks simple, then me and you can be a chef aswell, everybody can. Also with a real Michelin chef, there is no argue, Guests would not dare, when a guest complaints, well you probably have to jump off the ship, because this is an huge insult and most chefs will go beserk. ( example Gordon Ramsey )

I thought these guess were the best out of the entire season. At least Jamie Dimon was, he’s so humble and unfortunately got the short end of the stick with this charter. It truly was a disaster for him yet he maintained his cool and was still very appreciative.
Na the first charter was the nicest and sweetest. They dealt with Mila's food with a calm and sweet demeanor when it was 2 star at best.

If she was wise and had some humility she would politely decline to stay in chefs position further, explaining that absence of formal training would not allow her to bring consistently great results. She would earn great respect from everyone then. But I guess, desire to show off took the best of her.

I was hoping this would be the week Ben returns. I guess they're going to drag this out until the last episode of the season. Now as for June, she is just plain rude. Joao was tring to be kind to her. I did not like her fake pulling the curtain shut to end the conversation. Not only is she ignoring people to their face, she's ignoring everyone who calls her on her radio. Maybe next week she'll ignore Captain Sandy and fired.
Doreen Fay she deserved to be fired.... regardless of Anastasia going back to third stew. She was a crappy employee, that damn radio issue, she was rude to other crew members, and rude to Sandy. Telling her, “that’s not nice”, when Sandy explained to her why she was letting her go. Crap, she got free airfare both ways, it’s obvious she had nothing else going on. I just did not like her. I have had employees like her in the past and they didn’t make it past their 90 day probation period. A good attitude goes a long way.... especially when you’re the low man on the totem pole.

Besides the atmosphere, the NUMBER ONE thing a person expects on a voyage is stellar food. If I'm on a 1200 dollar mega cruise, I'll lower my expectations. However, if I'm paying a premium for a private charter, I'd expect 5 star food and service. Just because someone is rich doesn't mean they aren't entitled to what most of us would expect when paying such high prices. Long story, short... premium prices should come with premium food. I really feel for Anastasia(?), as she wasn't a trained chef. And making food for a group isn't easy either. That fiasco is 100 percent on the captain.

The people this season just don’t gel. Joao is arrogant, Natasha adds zero to the show and acts like guys should be falling all over her, Travis is an alcoholic who is critical of Joao for wanting him to do his job and jack and Aesha are sadly the most entertaining part of the show, June is a mess and Hannah berating her all the time is getting old.

I'm giving Anastasia a little bit of a pass. Captain Sandy asked her to step up and do something that was way beyond what she signed on for. She learned everything about cooking from her mom and boyfriend, no professional training whatsoever. I think her "attitude" comes from a little fright and a lot of frustration. Something tells me that she learned a lot from her experience as a chef on a yacht. I hope she decides to go to culinary school and then try again at being a chef on yachts. Captain Sandy has to guide her and give her praise as she was the one who opted out of getting a "true experienced" chef and promoting a 3rd Stew. Sandy has to keep smiling even if she's groaning inside.
