I know he is toxic AF, but Mario Rios is right about belts. They hurt you long run because you get used to using it, and like one day, you lift too much weight without it and hurt yourself. I'm also your same weight, but lift 320 for 5 Beltless, but I am also older than you, so yea, I have been lifting probably longer.
@@thomasliesegang1022you are so wrong it’s crazy. There is no weight minimum for using a belt. A belt protects your spine by allowing u to brace better. U use it and practice with it. Not using a belt after using it for a while won’t injure you. Trying to do a stupid amount of weight with bad form will. Don’t act like you know what you’re talking about and then tell someone to not use a piece of equipment literally designed to keep them injury free as much as possible

I agree, I started doing beltless deadlift for any reps above and equal to 5, they have only strengthened me and helped me learn bracing properly.
