Jeff George's arm never ceases to amaze me. Such a quick release. So powerful, so accurate. It's still surprising to me that his career never really went anywhere despite being a #1 pick.
His problem was that he wouldn't throw to RB...EVER.
Its funny how he was difficult with coaches who amounted to little or nothing and came to MN and loved it and played spectacular. Marino was the on QB with as good of a release. He was willing to play for less to stay by Denny commute to Cunningham.
Probably his attitude more than anything... Nowadays he'd be much more successful.
@@jaredmashburn5618 No, George wanted a big contract to stay and Denny went after Marino. After that fell thru Denny went with Culpepper not Cunningham.
PLEASE post this game -- this was George's first start in 99
Helluva damn throw
Will never not be impressed by George's arm. He'd just flick that shit and it would go 60 yards like it was nothing.
Matthew Hatchette’s career would have been so different if he didn’t keep playing on teams with elite receivers named Moss
Classic Jeff George, on the previous possession Leroy Hoard fumbled. It looked like George had an angle on the guy and could of ran it down, but he just stopped and let the 49ers score.
Jeff George had a cannon of an arm

Jeff George!
Always thought George was the guy they should have kept after the 99 season.
