you say old school, but there isn't much old school about this place other than the vibe you get from it. This is by far one of the most advanced workout places I've ever seen. They cut out all the BS and filled the place with functional equipment. The creativity is flowing hard in this place. THIS GYM IS EPIC!
This is what a real gym should be. Pure workout, no posing.
Showwww me EEE whattt youuu gooootttt
When he was showing the ropes, I was like damn if you hit your toes with them..
I freaking LOVE your home gym!!! I love home made workout equipment! My hubby and I have a goal to have a home gym, and funny that I stumbled across your video, cuz this is EXACTLY how I would want it!! You don't need "Fancy" to get Fit!! I'd feel like a WARRIOR in this gym!! Great work!!
This is a true GYM.
Simply amazing! Will definitely make some more homemade gym equipment!
Words cannot describe the greatness of this...
fantastic place bro, keep going like this!
wish i will find (or create) a similar place to train in future!
dang this gym has got everything I wish there was a gym like this where I live
That looks like a pretty respectable gym. I think its cool that you put somethin like that together. It's nice to see people breaking away from those Golds gym and bally gym type businesses and making a real gym!
Excellent! It looks like a very hardcore and innovative gym.
Very impressed with the homemade kettle bells!! Everything else is amazing as well. :)
nice work, I've been thinking of going on a scavenging trip through the city to put some gear together, this gave me some ideas, awesome
BEAUTIFUL GYM MAN.
This gym is completely amazing! I love it. One day I want to train here!
Dope ass gym man, keep doing you thang.
I'd love to train here, BADASS gym. Props!
Love this setup! I'm currently researching how to make my own equipment.
excellent gym guys...love the collection of sledgehammers...
you have some legit stuff in that gym! thats pretty awesome!
What a place :). Fantastic. No crap just the important equipment & layout. One would guess that you have intensive training sessions in that place.
It's these types of creative more down to earth gyms that get my attention. Great stuff man!
You inspired me to build my own workout great! Thank you
This place is awesome. Great job! The place is seething with passion.
This is inspirational.
WOW!! awesome!! so creative- some great ideas.
Very inspiring. Nice Job!
Love this gym I want a gym like this some day!
Great job, and outstanding training facility. People who are serious about working out, or are military, should realize this place is legit.
This is a real Gym
Nice video! Reminds me of when I was in county jail years back. There were no workout facilities and I was going nuts. I took my bed roll, rolled it up, tied it with the bed sheets, and made sort of a sandbag/log-type thing. I put it on my back and did squats. I grabbed it by the sheets and curled it and pressed it. I then punched it like a punching bag. I then slept...slept a lot.
Sweet gym! I wish I had the space to create one. Great video!
Nice set up,nothing fancy just functional.
Great setup. nice job.
Awesome job!!
Great looking gym! You can make some fat grip barbells out of steel piping filled with concrete. You can then make various weight plates buy pouring concrete into the bottom of trash cans/buckets for a mould, just add a pvc and or metal pipe bit in the middle to keep a hole open for your bar.
Now that is the type of gym I gravitated to back in my hardcore days of training. Spent many an hour in wonderful pole barn gyms. I made a wood burner heater out of an old water heater, it worked fantastic. I know you have BOB and I don't want to insult him but have you ever thought about making a dummy from pvc frame covered with old carpet and duct tape up? Being that your really into home made stuff.
Yes I've made a few wooden dummies and they work great. I just happened to get Bob for free!
This is awesome!
holy shit dude this is fuckin awesome. props
Wow! Now THAT'S makin' it happen!
very good gym!! excellent homemade work!!
Great job!
love the idea
There are so many great ideas! Thanks for the video!
If you don't find the right equipment, just make yourself the right equipment. Like we did with your chest expanders =)
no I just like lifting strange objects. I love lifting objects filled with water because it forces you to lift slowly and helps develope cordination in your opposite arm. Here are some other exerises
1. Keg lifts. fill it half way up
2. sleds pulling. put plates on sled and pull
3. parachute running
4. rock climbing board
5. Bulgarian bag training
6. fill situp ball with water
7. big water cooler workout. just use the water cooler like a kettlebell
8. balance boards
Coolio Big Brother...you are a Handy Man!
that's awesome...it's not much but it does the job well and i know that you enjoy it bro..
Nice setup, homie!
ideas for ya brother....barrels....kegs (drink beer first)...water bottles fill diff levels to have slosh effect when you are snatching...nice work...love the slosh pipes...the apparatus that looks like giant jack stand...very cool...frisbees was great..so obvious yet I feel humbled..keep rocking
SICK GYM.
this is the sickest gym ever. u guys should open one up in florida!
Awesome training place!
right on brotha
what a great gym, guys! looks like you enjoy inventing and making all that stuff. in fact I'd like to see your gym in action - full of people banging and sweating. As for the ideas - I'm not sure I've seen any sleds which are so cool for power and conditioning (GSP's S&C coach is one of the great proponents).
Most people don't understand deserts still get cold in the winter and they can loose heat quickly. It's even more pronounced at altitude, like Colorado and New Mexico.
badass gym!
As real as it gets!
I have some Ideas for you. I like to train with wheelbarrows pushing and pulling up slopes. I also like to use chains, Bands for the bar. Heavy clubbells, Macebells, plastics bats filled with lead weight or water, water jugs, heavy boxes, sawing wood or logs, log lifting, bucket filled with water, haystacks with fork, lifting stones, chopping wood, lifting strange objects like chairs, tables, benches, boxes full of books, trash bag tossing, plate rack lifting, video game workouts
LOVE IT!
dig the chevelle playing in the background toward the end of the video
homemade equipment-minimal...homemade gym-little money.....homemade philosophy-priceless :)
Who ever thought all that equipment for sure does super training sessions
Awesome.
LMFFFFFFFFFAO The most BADASS gym i have ever seen!!!!!!!
nice vid u can make a power rack with those 2by 4s in the corner and some pipe those are always good to have
if the world ended and everything was destroyed and mankind had to rebuild from the scraps, this is what the best gym would look like....
Dope gym man, looks used. i mean that in a good way y'all getting it in down in TX
good stuff man!
rough edge but well put together
awesome gym!
This is just fucking amazing :-). Love it!
I'd recommend some clubbells ;-).
BY FAR my favorite youtube video!! What type of ball did you use to make the XX LARGE medicine balls??
Nice!!!
I'm making parallel bars out of 1 1/4 galvanized electrical conduit. I made my rings out of parts of old barstools I took apart and 4 dollar tie down straps
You should build a wooden tower rack. Works well and it's cheap and always replaceable.
Rock on!
love it
not at all where i would like to work out BUT i do use many of the creative pieces youve come up with. Actually Really like the frizbee part for slider pieces currently - we use a plastic garbage cam lid - for forward and reverse push crawls. Theyre killer!
i think a peg board would be a great addition to your space
as well as a large pulley welded to the ceiling beams - to use in conjunction with the ropes and cables... either pull yourself up with an anchored bottom Or pull a weight up.
Nice gym, mate..I like your philosphy..just come to train hard. That's what it's all about
It's like in a Never Back Down! =D
Have you made any toutorials on how to make some of this stuff? If not, you totally should :)
WOW I MUST SAY ID PAY TO TRAIN THERE!!! Id pay for rent to sleep there!! awesome man
The term you are looking for is hardcore. I prefer this kind of gym to the really commercial ones.
You are the official Homemade gym! i never seen so much homemade gym stuff. Thats awesome! Ima try and make some bulgarian sandbags.
How u set up ur sandbags. Did u use a heavy duty bag, filled it with sand. duck tape it then put it in the duffel bag?????
Awesome vid.
LOVE IT! How did you make the kettlebells??
awesome
very cool
This is the k8ind of gym I wish i had in my area. All I have is Planet Fit-Ass. i have something kind of like this but I wish I had more people to workout with than just myself.
great stuff, great ideas, only squat rack is missing.
Can you tell me what you made those kettle bells out of? That was awesome!!
really nice stuff man, could you give me an idea on how u made the karambits, i have real ones but.. u know cant really practice on each other with those lol.I seen a peg board climbing wall homemade, that would go great in your gym, im working on one myself.
awesome set up!
I've recently started making my own gym equipment, I've only made 1 kettlebell and 1 push/pull sled (using a wheelbarrow) so far, but you've given me so many more ideas to use as time goes on
Your set up is great, an awesome gym
Was wondering where you go the padding for the track down the middle?
Cheers
I have a pull-up bar, and I bought 50 kg of concrete mix to create my own Dumbbells and medicine ball. You should also by car carpets for the grip they have, if you want a cheap tip
Dude i would love to go Hardcore there
Hey man, if you are not able to get bigger tires, you could do what I did. Drill four 1'' holes evenly spaced out in the tire, and then put four 6'' bolts in the tire add four 25lb standard weights clamp/bolt them in place. It is harder to flip my 250lb tire with 140lbs added in it, for a total of 390lb, then it is my 500lb tire. Great gym love your equipment...
sweet set-up
any idea where i can find directions for home-made metal power rack/cage?
putting together a KB/ CF oriented spot on Clearwater
wow amazing :)) this is grate, only you need its 100$ and a lot of motivation!
Nice set up! Where is this gym located?
holy shit!!! that is so my kind of gym. hardcore and to the point. I LOVE IT!!!! If i lived anywhere near there, i would join that place in a second. The world needs more places like yours and less L.A. Fitnesses. Nice Job.
Nickelback... good background music!!
Hey do you have the dims and instructions on how to build the telescope tubes? Would love to make one for my set up...
