@@theAntiCauliflower Not true, some people, like me, love equality of opportunity for all humans, but have issues with some of the rhetoric and actions of the feminist movement. That's why I prefer to call myself an Egalitarian, I believe in equality of opportunity for all groups and believe that all groups experience some inequalities and that we shouldn't try to demonize or pretend one group ahs it better than others. That's been done before, it's the first step in trying to drum up hate for a group, first you say "hey look they have more stuff than us, they must have gotten it unfairly, lets take it from them, by force if necessary!" That is how it starts, that's why I find this "privilege" stuff so scary, its dystopian and a clear scapegoat/demonization. Instead we should aim for equality, not at the expense of another group and there's no need to blame it all on one group of pretend one group had it tons better. Men had to die in wars, wars were created by nature, so not mans' fault either, they were expected to fight on much higher ratios, I consider that a pretty huge inequality in society that applied to men. Basically, as long as you're willing to admit men had inequalities and that maybe they had more power because the group that is the most active in militaries ends up having the most power in societies for most of history, then I'll admit women and men need equality movements, just not feminism, but Egalitarianism. Egalitarianism>Feminism, because Egalitarianism doesn't try to neg one group, doesn't try to convince young boys to hate themselves or think they have it easy when they don't, to refuse to empathize with themselves or seek help because "Women have real problems, we don't, we have male privilege" is being pushed by Feminism. Both genders suffer from some inequalities today, but mostly social/biological, not legal much anymore, as Civil Rights achieved mostly legal equality of opportunity. Point is, both could benefit from a movement that focuses on the bigger picture instead of just the relation between two groups and painting one as a bad controller and another as a rebel breaking free, not really an accurate picture considering power was based on contribution to society and military power. As tech increased and women got more educated and there became more uses for female labor, so did women's rights, makes sense to me. Basically, not everyone disagrees with modern feminism because of misogny, there's a lot of history that needs to be taken into consideration and many people just disagree with the narrative and rhetoric coming out of the feminist movement today. Civil Rights Feminism was far less radical and only seemed to seek Legal Equality of Opportunity without outright demonization's of entire groups or insinuations that we automatically have it easier. Some men have a lot of problems and many are due to gender expectations and insecurities that many women don't have to deal with, this is why Egalitarianism is better than Feminism, to have a movement that takes all group's problems' seriously, not just women's'.

That would mean shorter men should earn less. Those who can bench press less should also earn less. And since we all know that intelligence has a spread we should also determine pay gradient that way no? I don't think men themselves would enjoy being graded that way and to have their pay be based on how they measure up in these 3 areas. Plus, in reality, these 3 measures don't really have an impact for your average girl or guy for most of the jobs in service-based economy.

As minister of woman and child development Madam Smriti Irani should know and accept that patriarchy is not just about men rulling women or men passing sexist comment or men laughing at women and trifling the issues important to women . It's also about women rulling over women. Patriarchy is a way of thinking. Its a conditioning in which our social behaviour is based. A woman brought up in a patriachal mindset will be a propagator of patriachy even if she is a matriarch . It will not change her attitude and behaviour. When I am walking in a lane and some girls in bicycle or bike or scooter threaten to push me down because their tutor or mother or brother or their own evil mind told them to misbehave with me then the ministry has to extend the laws and include mischief making women along with mischief making men in their laws so that women are not only protected from young or old men but also from women because these young girls are also conditioned by patriarchy where men are cruel to women and women as substitute of men are cruel to other women. In patriarchy there is no such thing as sisterhood amongst women . There is sisterhood among daughters in laws when they want to bitch against their Inlaws .We are shown son pushing mother from terrace. But there are daughters in law doing it to their mother in law. They are getting that chance because our Indian culture tells that daughters are outsiders after their marriage and it's the son's right to take care of parents. Parents don't want their married daughters to look after them if they are dependant on their husbands because for them it's like taking help from daughter's husband. Parents pride themselves in saying that they don't stay with their married daughters. That is why parents don't want to give daughters any share in their property. But in truth every girl has primarily two homes. One home is in which she is born and the other of her husband. When a woman is financially capable of buying a house for herself then she has three homes. Nobody has the right to take the first home away from her. It's her entry into this world and it should be safe for her. We now have laws of same sex marriages. Men are marrying men. Women are also marrying women. It's all about a man personality in woman body or woman personality in man body. So laws of molestation should also include molestation of women by women. Because those women who molest women are man in woman body.
