I'm not big on commercials, that said Erickson tends to sell quality stuff. The bed extender is a nice option for a short bed pick up truck as long as there is enough weight forward in the bed to make sure the handling is stable. The sliding ratchet is a good idea, my straps are just fine for what I do, but if I ever need more I would buy one and test it personally. The cap lock feature is a nice touch, but completely unnecessary for those who know how to properly rig a strap. The retractable ratchet strap has too many moving parts for my taste. The tire and E track system would be more to my liking if the straps were in a basket configuration, like the straps for a wheel lift tow truck. They would cost more, but it would be worth it for that extra security.
Cut a 45 degree on the tongue of the extender so it is easier to install into the receiver . Install LED button lights and reflective tape on the extender . 9/22

the etrack tire mount has to be mounted down to work if not what is going to hold the the strap down?
