Absolutely one of the most interesting projects I have seen you create. May you be safe, healthy and in great spirits during the time of chaos. Raise a cup and wish cheers to the caregivers out there fighting the fires. God bless you always.

Good old CZcams. I had been cursing their recommendations when this popped up.
I was on the edge of my seat, half expecting your hand to get mangled by the spinning wood but you obviously know what you're doing. I don't think i've ever seen that shape turned before either, so well done and cheers for the excellent upload.
I hope everyone stays safe and we'll all get through to the other side of this. All the best from Plymouth in south west England.
Thanks I appreciate that! Youâre in!

Would properly loose a finger or knuckle. Looks so easy....so much skill and understanding of the
Wood, the tools as well as an artistic idea of whatâs locked inside that block of wood.
Itâs mesmerising watching these videos ......Thanks for showing all of us what you can do.

Watching the piece spin on the lathe is almost as mesmerizing as the finished part itself! Another beautiful job, please keep up the great videos, cheers!
Thanks, Kurt! You're in!
Cheers, I really like how you took a ordinary cube and turned it around an unusual axis and got a unique piece....and the missing knot was genius. It ties back to the origin of the burl but without breaking the sophistication of the shape. Magical piece.
Thank you so much Michael!
Cheers, David. You work cheers my days. Especially like being surprised and cheered by the finished pieces of art.

WOW!! I am in total awe of watching these folks take other wise unusable wood and turn them into magnificent!
Thanks Mark!
"Cheers" originated from the old French word chiere which meant âfaceâ or âhead.â By the 18th century, it meant âgladness,â and was used as a way of expressing encouragement.
So face, head and gladness David :)
Thanks! Youâre in! I never knew that!
The word 'Bistro' comes from the Russians yelling "Hurry Up!" to French cafe workers when they invaded Paris in 1814.
Cheers to your creativity and design...must be the clean Maine air... :-) stay safe
Cheers! You're in!
that is amazing! i been watching a lot of woodturning stuff, and I never seen someone do that with sharp edges! fantastic! cheers!
Thanks David! Youâre in!
Cheers errupted from my lips as you displayed the completed work! I am still amazed by this stunning piece!
Thanks! Youâre in! âïž
I've recently started watching your channel and am amazed by some of your ideas and concepts. Like what you did with this Maple burl. Which definitely turned out very beautiful. I don't have a lathe yet, but am working towards one. A slow process, but I love watching others do it. I feel I am learning in advance before I get my hands on learning. Which I know will be another slow process. But I know I'll get there. Cheers mate. And thanks for the videos. I will continue to watch and learn.
Thank you so much, Daniel! Hope you end up turning!
Remarkable talent! I can understand how it cheers people up.
Thank you! Youâre in!
Iâve watched this several times...it cheers me to see it! Funny, even after the first time, itâs still a surprise to watch you get there! Beautiful piece, a celebration of the craft. Well...the ART!
Thanks so much Martin! Youâre in!
I kept waiting for that one finger slip error which would have made a big thunk on the video and made you say "dern it, dern it, dern it all no cheers for me today" and could have cost you a trip to the emergency room. As a former Safety Engineer though, I noticed you had your hand and fingers firmly located behind the tool rest. This gave me a lot of cheers; also, you gave the viewer an impressive piece of wood art. Thanks a bunch.
Thanks Larry! Youâre in! It was a little dicey, especially when sanding with the lathe on.
Cheers to you and your skills. I'd love to get to this level of wood turning. Really beautiful stuff.
Thanks, Steven! You're in!
This must have required so much patience, and the end result is absolutely beautiful. Could be interesting to do something similar with a cube comprised of layers of different woods. Cheers mate :-)
Cheers! You're in.
I have always loved working with wood. It's so relaxing. Thanks for letting us enjoy your work. Cheers, from Arizona.

Hello David.
This is the first time that I watched your channel. I have a recent fascination and respect with watching wood turning and your channel popped up in my feed. Absolutely beautiful artwork! I would have subscribed even without your giveaway. Thank you for showing your work!

Awesomeness David! A unique design. Someone will be very lucky for winning this!
Thanks Jake! I appreciate you!
I always thought âcheersâ was something important to folks down under in Australia or New Zealand... at any rate... cheers to you! It is good to have a light and happy heart! A good synonym for cheers...merry. A Bible verse... A merry heart doeth good like a medicine.
As for this maple bowl that you have made....it is phenomenally incredible the skill you have! This is the first of your videoâs Iâve watched! Hooked! I subscribed not just for the chance to display that beautiful bowl here in my office but also due to the incredible vision, talent, and artwork I see in this video! I also appreciate the good music you had playing softly in the background...added much more âcheersâ to the watching! God bless you real well!
Iâm a missionary in the Philippines. Love to do woodworking as a hobby in my spare time. But my skill set and tools is like grade 2 or 3 compared to your PhD!
Thank you Bob! Youâre in! Happy turning and best wishes!
In this crazy time, we all need things that provide delights, comforts and above all, cheers to see us through this. Thanks for providing all in this delightful, comforting and cheering video.

Cheers, from Russia with love! This is by far the best I've seen from woodturning. My wife marvelled at this art! Keep up the art and push the limits!
Thanks very much Ivan! Youâre in!
@@DavidAdamsen i wonder how this thing holds together when you spin it. Has it ever flown into your face or something? It must be dangerous, i guess. I remenber doing woodturning back in the school days, I wish someone told me then that you can be more creative than a little rough birch vase)
Beautiful piece of art once again David. Your thought pattern never ceases to amaze me. Did you always know you wanted to create this from that piece of wood? Hi from Australia đŠđș
Sue Quinney Thanks Sue, well it was a step by step adventure, with an idea to start the got refined as I went. This method opens up so many other ideas!
John Keats: "A thing of beauty is a joy forever: its loveliness increases; it will never pass into nothingness.

That is the most beautiful object I've seen today. Human beings were meant to create beautiful and/of functional artifacts and you have truly succeeded. Watching you work filled me with joy. Cheers!

I can't imagine I would ever come up with something like that design. Was that in your head the entire time? Cheers!
Thanks, Jeff! You're in! I knew that I wanted the six wings, I just wasn't sure how they would flow back to the bowl. As you saw, I kinda inched my way toward the finished shape.

Wow, wow ,wow!!! David you are a joy to watch. The skill, vision and craftsmanship involved in the creation of your pieces of art is awesome. Cheers to you for your distinctive turning of the burl bowl. Thank you for all your content as it is very instructive. I do not have a wood lathe, so I cannot do that type of turning. I do have a small metal lathe which I have attempted some turning, but nothing of note.
Thanks, James! You're in!
Wow! That is beautiful. Very unique. I love the knot that was knocked out. Cheers to you and your talent!
Thank you! Youâre in!
I love that you turned the wood by retaining its character like styling the edges and corners and yes that peep hole from where part of the wood aged I guess. And the music and the way the shots has been recorded was very calming.
Thanks! Youâre in! It was actually a bark inclusion and it would have popped out eventually. âïžđ

Cheers!! I love watching your projects. One of my favorite channels. Your imagination is on another level! Cheers!!

This is such a fascinating shape! I love how it turned out. Question, what is the reasoning behind sanding, adding lemon oil, sanding again, and then using the sanding sealer?
Watching your channel more than anything else has inspired me to reach out to a friend with a lathe and get back to a hobby I used to love. Once all the orders for isolation we are going to work together on relearning old skills and then expanding on them. So Cheers! And thank you.
Very good question... I'd like to know that too. Thanks
Had the same question
Cheers, Amy! You're in! I didn't show all the sanding, but I had to let the piece sit overnight after I sanded till about 1:30 AM. Because I had to walk away from the piece I wanted to protect it from cracking. I also think using lemon oil brings out the color more in the wood.
Cheers to all of you out there who was like "what the hell is he making?!"
Cheers Sarrah! You're in!
Nice
This is totally one of the most creative turnings I have seen. Now I will probably try to do it myself but hope I can get close to your creation. Thanks Larry
