Just saw this, but I’d definitely try to make a recording of me on something like my soprano sax… even if I’m a 22-year-old in college now, and I have to deal with the fact that Xmas music’s never played there, and concert band only happens in spring semesters anyways. :/
But hey, I’d be happy to see what other people would make. Plus, I hope to hear more energetic trumpet whinnies, rather than plaintive, complaining whinnies. XD

During the weekends you could spend about 5-9 hours polishing music before a competition. You will get insanely hard music, and high school teachers are way harsher than middle school, if you're in a lesson, they will not settle for just knowing how to play it, you better know how to play it correctly with correct articulation and dynamics after the first or second month of having said music. Wanna know how you'll spend your summers that used to be fun? Running around, dehydrated, with an instrument. Buuuuut all bads aside high school band is an amazing experience, you get to go to all sorts of places. I believe only those who's hearts set on music or has the full dedication can make it through high school, it's a tough process. That was surprisingly well played. I assume this is high school. It is more typical to hear intonation problems or articulation problems, usually both. This was a pretty darn clean performance. I myself started with clarinet (well, after piano). But then switched to bassoon which is an entirely different experience. Then to brass. French horn, and then fully to the dark side - trumpet. Strange, I know, but I had always also played around on the trumpet as sort of a hobby from the beginning even though I principally played something else. I recommend that young musicians try other instruments - they may find one that better suits them.
