Oh Nico, if you look at the animations, Mario has never touched ANY star, shine, or moon in any 3D Mario game. They just hover around him, which allows you to touch the cat shine from anywhere.

I think this win was questionable, at best. The sides of the shines with red still had yellow, you had to touch the bells to hit Bowser with them and I'm pretty sure you touched some grass at some point. I think this win needs an * next to it.

The shines are neccessary to beat the game so, there would be no video if he didn't exclude those.
however, i do consider some cheating is done since he considers some platforms and the shoe to not be yellow simply cuz "it changes inmediately to red".

There is so much yellow on the red part (& it's a little spread out because of the catface shape) that avoiding yellow is still impossible so you already failed at the very first catshine again

I as just watching ur no touching green walkthrough and u stated that when u land for the first time on the island that the grass is yellow and u touched the grass when climbing to touch the first cat shine

the platforms that the gigabells are on are yellow
the skate is still yellow when you get in it and then it turns red, still touch yellow
same thing with donut platforms, they're still yellow when you touch them and then turn red
