Thank you so much. ❤❤❤
😱😱😱😱😱Oh Will and Leon!!! That was so scary to watch- brilliant as well! I can't believe how calm you all were. Well done for rescuing that boat as well. A super vlog!👍👍👍👍👍🦋🌻
Hello Mindful family. 👍 I think it was calm panicking Vanessa. 🤣🤣🤣
I hope the Mindful family is happy and well. ❤️❤️
Take care. 👍
Did that crossing a couple of years back and was so glad to get into Savick Brook. On the way back though, I was tied up at Tarleton and was in and out the boat putting my anchor away and putting the obligatory kettle on when someone pulled up in a car and grabbed my dog. He was sitting right outside my boat so no way anyone would’ve thought he was lost or unattended. Thank god another boater I’d crossed with saw the whole thing and ran up and blocked the car’s way. My boy is my everything, people don’t fully appreciate (or care) how much pain it causes when they steal what is a fully fledged family member. Will be forever thankful to a boat called Nordic Raven.
Wow! What a story. You had a guided angel that day. It's no different from snatching a child. Disgusting people.
Glad you got back OK. 🫵👍👍
Hi Will. That was an adrenoline filled voyage and as others have said, I was glued to the screen. Thanks for the temporary deckhand role.🤣🤣 I shall treasure the experience. Certainly a lot of coverage-one of my friends called it the Will and Paul Show!🤣🤣🤣. All the best. Paul.
🤣🤣🤣 You certainly starred in this one Paul.
It's in safe hands when Paul's on deck with a smooth guiding cruise 👌👍
Interesting crossing, I found the narrow river/brook after the crossing more nerve racking than the crossing
Happy journeys!
You're a gentleman Will Helping fellow boaters that was oooh
Thanks Phil. I couldn't leave him.
It pays to be proactive when it comes to anything mechanical, well done Will.
Agreed totally. He'd had everything done to his boat to get it ready. You can never tell what's going to happen.
😮😮😮😮omg your hero’s helping the other boat my nerves where shattered just watching it again great memories doing this
It happened so fast I didn't have time to think Phillip.
Thanks for watching..👍👍
I’d not heard of the ‘Ribble Link’ before . Great video adventure , thanks for taking us along with you. This video makes ‘Narrow Escapes’ on the TV, look very boring ! Let’s hope the next Series they do they include ‘NarrowBoatWill ‘. 😊
I did hear about it, but strangely enough, I don't do this for the fame. I really enjoy vlogging my journey. You'd mainly find me in the middle of nowhere. 🤣🤣🤣
Still with you….enjoying manly things, I miss that side of life but I can watch, now, without having to wash socks or put the kettle on. Most satisfying. Thanks.
🤣🤣🤣 I really enjoy the physical side of life. 💪👍
Best Ribble Link crossing I have ever seen. Fecking brilliant!!
I wasn't trying to make it exciting but I'll take it. 🤣🤣🤣
@@NarrowboatWill You were well prepared and handled everything with your usual expertise 😍👏👍
Interesting nail biting vlog 👍🏻 WILLS RIVER RESCUES SERVERISES Well done Will and Leon 🛥️💥💥💨 glad you made it safe and sound 🎧👊🏻👍🏻👍🏻
If he hadn't fixed it, we would'nt have made it. Towing was really slow going. 🐌 Thanks for watching.
Loved it Will and Leon makes me laugh 😂😂 what a brilliant action packed video … wonderful 😃❤️🏴☠️ the commentary at the end 😂😂
Hello Mrs. I wasn't expecting that kind of action. That savage Brook was really tight. What a welcome at the end. I thought, what have I got myself into. I had kids at my windows as well. 🤣🤣
Take care love. ❤️❤️
Wow!! What a terrifying journey! We’re much more scared to do it now 😅 thanks for that haha!
Absolutely incredible job to do this, help the other boat, and film it! This deserves so many views 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hello, you lovely channel 4 people. Thanks for stopping by.
I couldn't leave the poor chap. Luckily, we all made it. I've heard some horror stories, but don't let it put you off. 🤣🤣
See you on the cut, guys. ❤️❤️
I'm an American Chappie so I'll probably spell Bluddy wrong, but it was bloody loads of fun watching the whole video. I particularly liked watching you and your son hang about together, you guys seemed to make a good team. Hope you guys golf together as well as you boat together, no bending of the clubs when you botch a shot...
Yours is about the third Ribble Link/Savick Brook crossing I've watched, and I have to comment that you handled it with the most aplomb and composure, a regular Joe Cool with a steely gaze and a steady hand on the TILLAH.....
Hello from bloody wet England. Ha ha. My son Leon has got his own boat now. Vlog coming shortly about that.
The Ribble link crossing is now closed. So, no going back until further notice. 😢
Thanks for your great comment. 👍
This was absolutely incredible, well done toeing the boat...that would have been a very dangerous situation, An awesome journey too...so cool 😀
Ahhhh thanks alot guys. I crapped myself though..🤣🤣🤣
Fabulous and eventful vlog journey Will. Absolutely first class! Thx
It was pretty stressful, but I'm happy I helped. 😊
oh will you had me on the edge of my seat up that river , glad you a lot calmer now , plenty people to help you
Hello Mavis. I'm pleased those volunteers were there to help. Made the journey so much easy. 👍

That was a nerve wracking dramatic crossing. Well done and good on you for helping tow the boat behind.
I know. I couldn't leave them. I don't think there's any rescue service. Cheers for watching.
How are you and Leon and Mr Tiller Man after the Ribble Link. Filthy 👍 thumbs-up.
We're a bit shaken but not stirred. 🤣🤣
It was worth it. It's a gorgeous canal. 😍
Get in Will and Leon!! True Gents, not leaving anyone behind and staying together was definitely the best idea, I think my heart rate might settle down knowing you’re all safe and sound 🤗🤗
I know, it was a bit nerve-wracking. I'm glad we made it in the end. 🤣🤣
Thanks for stopping by.

That was the most exhilarating episode ever! Not for the faint hearted that crossing. My jaw is still clenched! 😅😬
My bum is still clenched. 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣
Wow , amazing heartstopping at times , we could all see your concern , well done both of you 🥂
I was concerned. That's the polite version. 🤣🤣
should have ben given briefing on any problems that might occur ,never leave a boat in trouble ,,,that light you had to go around ,if you come back on a falling tide ,you see it as one huge mud bank,
Agreed Malcolmne. We didn't get any info really. Apart from red is go. 🤣🤣🤣 They fixed that in the end.
Great video will and leom It was a good job.You were around to give that other boat A toe must have been quite frightening to be in the middle.Without Any. power Glad Your engine coped with it.Have a great week keep safe 😊🙏
keep safe.
I wasn't expecting this, but we made it through in the end. Thank god Christopher. 🙏 🤣🤣
@@NarrowboatWill 🙏
That was an adrenaline rush just watching! 😂 Tides, boats breaking down, pork pies, reversing and shouty men… this had the lot! 😅 Well done 👏🏼 Now let’s all just calm down, shall we? 🤣🤣🫠
🤣🤣🤣 I need to take a deep breath after this. 👍
@@NarrowboatWill Oh Yeah… you had to do the real bits! Not the just watching bits… 😂😂

Brilliant vlog. Must be so exciting to do that crossing. The Lancaster looks such a beautiful canal. Best wishes
This canal is just stunning. I can't wait ti show it off. 👍👍
Glad you all made it across safely. Very enjoyable vlog
Thank you Simon. 👍
Goodness ibwas glued tonthis vlog, brilliant stuff phew and thank you
Sorry about the typos lol
Thanks for coming along Phil..🫵👍👍
Interesting little trip, did not know you would be traveling against the tide, cant do that on the ouse as its doing 7 or 8 knots so would go nowhere, anyway thought you did well, helps to check on google maps as its usually at low tide so can figure out the channels, plus reading the water helps. Yes I would have been nervous about the engine overheating, can see why you did all your little checks now in the prior video. Even with the little dose of fear it looked like an interesting trip with a liberal dose of excitement. I salute thee Captain Will.
🤣🤣 Thanks, Tim. I remember coming down from Kingslynn at speed. I crapped myself there also.
Been looking forward to this one.......x
Ahhhh thanks. 👍
I will that was a bit hair racing on the river but very Interesting all the best for now 😊
Thank you Suzanne for coming along and supporting me. 🙏
Ahoy Captain Will .. This is a very interesting and eventful part of the journey .. I'm still green with envy ..
~~~~~~~~~~\_____________________ Thanks Will for this Smile on me Dial ._________________IL~~~~~~~~~~~
Hey, hello..I was smiling at the end. Until then I was s...ING myself..🤣🤣🤣
oh my god !!! 🎉
I know. I wasn't expecting this. 😕
@@NarrowboatWill well done though Will and Leon x
well done for helping those other people WILL , 👍 the current did'nt seem quite as strong as i thought it would be , did you ever see Foxes Afloat video , it was really rough when they did the rubble link ,Gulp , bet you're glad you're off it though .i think that drunk guy was in coockoo land lol .😅
I know it could've been worse, but it felt intense at the time. The guy at the end was shouting, and he looked like he'd watched a lot of King fu films. 🤣🤣
Hi will I'm glad to see that you stopped to help a fellow boater..
The Ribble crossing is not the best of places to break down...as many people have found out. Some have lost their boats .on this crossing ..
Because they broke down and panicked .. unfortunately a anchor is as much use as a chocolate teapot. On the Ribble link.
Will you mentioned about not having a temperature gauge ..on the engine..??? Only a red light???
Have you thought about fitting a temperature gauge using the wiring that operate the red light. Because that is a temperature sender unit. For the engine.. block..pickup a temperature gauge from a scrap yard and try it.mate..
Anyway will ..it's always a pleasure to watch your videos .. they have always been very informative and interesting to watch...
Anyway will. Keep smiling mate . keep safe and well.
That's what I've thinking Wayne. I've seen them on other beta engines. I'll keep my eye out for one at my next car boot. 🚗 👍👍
@@NarrowboatWill
Will I have lost count of how many times this fitted a temperature gauge to a narrow boat engine..
Unfortunately the reason for this is that they had blown the head gasket .or had cracked the block.
Why people don't check to see if there is water in the oil..or showing on the dip stick has always been beyond me.
The last time I fitted a refurbished engine . the final bill was five thousand pounds... which could have been avoided ..if the owner check the engine on a regular basis.
When I showed him.what the oil looks like with water in it..???
He said it had been like this for months.??? I believe that they sold the boat after the engine was replaced..and moved off the canals.
I sometimes wonder if he was checking his car engine now..
Anyway will one question for you are you and Leon . in competition as to who can grow the best beard...??? 😋😋😋 Filthy thumbs up. 👍👍👍..
On the question about the fitting of a temperature gauge there is plenty of information on this on the internet...
Job well done.
Thank you for stopping by.
Good one 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
The rug Powerder must have been out of stock so they other man trying too help him out,😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤔
See you should have kept going straight ahead to the Irish sea we could have made you and Leon a cuppa over here 😊
🤣🤣🤣 No thanks on going that way.
Lol
Hall of Fame episode
Hall of crap myself fame. 🤣🤣
2/3 week wait? Think yourself lucky Will as if your were still on our river the great ouse you'd still be waiting to get onto the middle levels . They are now talking mid June at the earliest.
Wow! That river just floods for pleasure. I waited ages last time I was over there..😟🫤
You should have made them offset from you when towing. Basically you were pushing against them to tow them. With a longer tow line it would not have mattered as much. But still well done.
I don't think I had time to calculate all that. But we did survive, that's for sure. 😅🤣 cheers for watching. 🫵👍
The birds are sandpipers.
Thanks for the info. 👍
We noticed that Tillerman was not wearing his board of trade life preserver ,tsk , tsk
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well that was a journey. 👍
What was that weird ending all about? Looked like he was doing Tai Chi or summat. Was that staged? One of your jokes?
Anyhow, well done on the Ribble🏆👍👌🏞
The guy was shouting and pointing at people. But he shouted at the wrong person. 🙄 🤣🤣
Hero will but if you go looking for trouble you will find it
I'm not looking for it. I'm just observing it with a smile. 🤣🤣
Did Tiller Man feel sick 😫 after the after the Ribble Link.
He had to change his under pants. 😂😂
Furthest North, Will, how do you work that out? Ripon Basin is the most Northly point, is it not?
No. I think it's the Lancaster I've been told.
Who is Paul, the temp deckhand and where did he spring from
He turned up at Tarleton.
I was on the edge of my gongoozler seat.......not since the Thames
🤣🤣🤣 I was goozling in my pants mate..
I think the guy with the bike probably has some mental illness which looks threateningly dangerous but is best totally ignored. Becoming involved, that is, responding to their apparent threats is probably not the best thing to do. A difficult situation all round.
Agreed. Still, if he's calling people rude words, someone's going to stop and create a comedy show. 🤣🤣
What a vlog that was😃👌👍😨😎
It was exciting. Not..🤣🤣
